Was frantic with worry when my Lab pup gulped down a small amber fungus in the woods & started drooling for England shortly afterwards.
Looked it up, was something called a Rufus Milkcap, which though not actually toxic & tastes ok when first bitten into, has a very red-hot-chilli-pepper effect soon after!
Best thing that could have happened to him as a voracious scavenger - he hasn't shown the slightest interest in scoffing shrooms/fungi ever since!
