Harriet.

Just me or is she Liz Truss-esque?

Not unpleasant for me, just passionate and - speaking as a neurodivergent - very likely on the spectrum. She is used to putting herself out there in the courtroom, the same as Hugo. The moment you throw yourself 6 feet higher than the parapet, the way both of them did, is the point at which you sign your own death warrant.

They both died on the hill they created.

Thought she was quite vindictive and rude tbh

I turned to my partner last night and said Harriet has a bit of the Liz Truss about her. My partner doesn't really follow politics and wasn't that familiar with Liz Truss so glad to have my observation vindicated on here instead!

She really shot herself in the foot last night. Seemed to lose the plot completely. I dd wonder whether she was just hoping to get some attention to sell more of her books.

don't see the truss comparison, she's clearly got some smarts about her, and if anything was too principled, sacrificing herself to get her point across. this is never something you can say about truss, who'll say anything to stay on the right wing grifting gravy train.

her big misstep was shouting down roxy for me, needed a judge to intervene at that point!

Yep, and unnecessarily so as well - she just needed to stay calm and bring it to the round table and have her say then - but her conduct at breakfast put everyone's backs up and gave everyone enough doubt that it could be worked into whatever the traitors wanted it to be

Thought her and Fiona just both played it really poorly - I loved the description of Fiona on the Rest is Entertainment by Marina Hyde as a classic Boomer....came in, was given every single possible advantage, totally squandered all of them, walked away thinking she'd done great whilst ruining it for everyone who comes after her....or something along those lines!

Her trouble was, the big reveal at the round table was pretty underwhelming to the other players given the build-up she gave it - and she'd already got a number of people's backs up with the way she spoke to people earlier in the day.

Her evidence was simply her interpretation of events rather than anything clear-cut.

She either believed her own hype or wanted to leave - the whole ‘don’t let my sacrifice be in vain’ was a tad melodramatic and at the sane time, pathetic.

I’m not sure who I want to win this series - I know it’s all edited but the remaining contestants all seem to be a bit too safe. Well apart from Fiona who was all over the place but entertaining.

A switch definitely flipped inside of her last night. It was like she was back inside the courtroom cross-examining an actual murderer. She's mellowed out a bit by the time the banishment room came but the damage was done by then. If she wasn't already minted she might have played it slightly differently with £100k on the line but who knows.

She did have some Truss like mannerisms but her ability to think and get things right sets her apart from Truss.

The editing has been much more glaring this season which has made it less enjoyable.

The secret traitor needed lots of editing to not give it away.

And the questions the faithful asked to the traitors in the church made such good TV that I'm wondering whether the contestants had a nudge in what to ask.

The ‘ask a traitor a question’ turned into ‘ask as many questions as you want’. Great telly but felt a bit forced.

The secret traitor - I’m sure that the producers could have had more fun with that idea and really piss off the traitors.

They both went nuts.

They've both attacked Rachel out the blue and got banished for it. Despite being totally correct, you've got to at least have some sort of argument against her (or wait for one). They attacked too early with no real reason.

Even at the end of this episode, they're all saying "I don't think Rachel is a traitor" and are looking at the other 2 names she gave!

Was a fascinating watch, because ultimately she was absolutely spot on about Rachel, was the best faithful logic of the season by miles. She identified the out of the blue comments about Rachel from Fiona which would only make sense if it was traitor on traitor. The delivery however was atrocious.

I'm also not sure why she decided to say she thinks there are 5 traitors.

I thought this. Rather than give them a list of three they can murder. Let them have free reign on the lot, but give the secret traitor the power to stop the murder, or change the victim if they choose.

Possibly she got inspiration for her next novel and decided to crash out loudly to write it rather than stay in.

yes the 5 traitor thing was crazy. They'd already found 2 traitors so she thought there were 7 traitors? Undermined her other more logical arguments.

I predict what happens now is that they will go after Roxy tonight, she seems to be rubbing some people the wrong way, which will give Harriet's whole theory around Rachel seem incorrect and buy her some more time.

yeah hope so. I quite like Rachel and she's done well so far, seeing off both big challenges to her.

It looks like her and Steven are quite tight too. I'd like to see a traitor pair win together and not stab each other in the back.
