At full time was shameful and embarrassing.
Most of you don't know me from Adam; I'm just a regular Dad who takes my young Son home and away.
We have seen some great performances, some mediocre ones and some poor ones too.
Today was not great defensively and we were as disappointed as anyone to see us concede 3 further goals after being 3-2 up.
However, this does not excuse some of the vitriolic behaviour that we witnessed today.
We sat just above the tunnel and as the players came off the pitch, there were hundreds of fans booing, effing and jeffing at the players, dropping the C-bomb, and using the various finger gestures...even at McKenna.
He came over to appreciate the fans for their support and after witnessing the above, he soon disappeared up the tunnel.
Dara O'Shea came off the pitch holding his hands up in a 'sorry' style manner - he got nothing but heaps and heaps of abuse. I know he didn't have his best game, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to give him encouragement...
I understand that it's a passionate game and we as a fan base, were disappointed about the manner of defeat but for goodness sake, this type of reaction has to stop.

Yep. I don't think some so called fans realise what they are doing this season means that we are more likely to lose him. He's been irritated by the lack of support and loyalty and I don't blame him. It's a tragedy - we've got one of the best young managers who has brought us so much joy and we're hounding him out when I'm with a great shout of another promotion.

McK will very likely leave in the summer, either way - as mentioned previously, this is far more likely to be because of, for example, our inability to source McKs preferred strikers - (again, nice one Ashton) - that some drunk/ coked-up dickheads squawking at the players in North Wales after (let's face it) we've had a 30 minute capitulation against Disney FC.
You relentlessly reference the ME years as a 'catch-all' excuse/ pass for our various underperformances this season (and I would emphasise that said underperformances are occasional, rather than continual) - give it a rest.
John Duncan was dreadful before John Lyall; Mick McGivern appalling before Burley - the fact that we all remember how dire it was under ME back then, doesn't forgive poor performances now. Frankly, it's an absurd take to suggest otherwise. |  | | |

I don’t do away games these days but I used to and saw more disappointing and humiliating matches than you could count. I never did that. Or at home either. I was there when on two occasions against oddly Sheffield W the players gave up. Threw in the towel. We re outraged. Unacceptable. On one occasion we walked out before the pitch invasion.
On the others, including the Norwich 5-1, we stayed to the end and didn’t applaud, didn’t moan about it, but walked out and raged at radio Suffolk. Abusing players is a cowards way out. Try it to somebody’s face - but book a meat wagon to A&E first is my advice. Counter productive and weak. No guts. No balls. Pathetic.
If you can’t tolerate bad days you’ll never appreciate good days. It’s sport but the principle applies to real life too. If you can’t understand what that is, take up crochet, FM25 with a milky drink or something. |

McKenna looked really peed off with the reaction, he came to applaud the fans and after receiving the abuse threw his hands down in a “sod it” gesture and went down the tunnel.
O’Shea held his hands up by way of apology and also got the same.
It’s one thing to be annoyed / disappointed at a result / performance etc, but the outright vicious abuse was well over the top.
If someone can’t handle losing football matches, maybe this isn’t a hobby for them. When you make the decision to spend money on a ticket, food and travel, we all know anything, good and bad can happen. |

I expected it but did not want to be involved so left just before the end which is not a usual thing gpr me yo fo even in defeat. If yheyve givrn it a ho ill always stay and give them a clap. I was as disappointed as anyone especially as i thought there was only one winner once we got in front. I used the phrase incompetence which is maybe a bit harsh but i felt we just took risks at yhe wrong end of yhe pitch whfn we alreafy had the lead.... there was really no need. However i find it hard to boo and hiss at the team i support ( although i admit i have done do in even bleaker times)so for me it was just get out of there and moan at the radio and amongst those i csll friends on private chat groups. It was disappointing, so many errors but it isn't as though they went out of their way to loose the game in the manner they did. The reaction from some of our fans is harsh - these are young people who feel the stress - reactions like this won't help them. Imagine if we had a bad day in the office - would we want everyone chastising us, or rather would we want support to get through.
Hopefully this does what happened at Bristol Rovers and sends us on a winning streak
