In the eyes of many (me included) he wasn’t really given a fair shot last season when he was fit, and was told very early on that he could leave this summer just gone. I’d have done the exact same… especially after seeing how poor his ‘replacements’ have been.

Imagine if we had Broadhead in the 10!

Not a patch on Mehetmi or Nunez though is he.

| Most disappointing was on 19:22 - Feb 21 with 1837 views | baxterbasics | I think this 'not celebrating against former clubs' thing is a bit silly anyway. Broadhead still wouldn't be starting games for us with both Clark and Jaden ahead of him. Didn't even start for Wrexham. | |

| Most disappointing was on 19:26 - Feb 21 with 1791 views | AbujaBlue | All of this 'he wasn't given a chance' - he was competing in a competitive squad and he wanted out! And I can't blame him if he wants to move to Wales and be closer to his family and friends. Trying to frame this as he was 'forced out' is tosh. Although it's interesting how when Szmodics scored or us versus Blackburn and didn't celebrate he was widely lauded on here. | | | |

Good player but a bit of a wet wipe if as an adult your mum is fighting battles for you.

I’ve always seen the no celebration thing as respect towards the fans to be honest. Lost a bit of respect from me today.

Good for him. I’d love that if the boot was on the other foot. Most of us did when Nunez stuck his proverbial two fingers up at that lot up the road. If you’re happy to give it, you need to be prepared to take it too, and all that.

His position (the one he played for us - left 10, left side) is the strongest we have in the squad...

I like players who dont over egg it fwiw when they do, I respected Smozdic for not going stupid when he scored against Blackburn, theres that thing about be nice to people on your way up because you might meet them again on your way back down, football is a small community. but then Id not have applauded him at all when he came on for them, since he was an opposition player, so I kind of hope those that did learnt a valuable lesson there.

| Most disappointing was on 23:04 - Feb 21 with 793 views | Garv | Probably a nod to the fact that he didn't get a fair crack last season, and knew he wouldn't this year if he stayed. McKenna can have a lifetime contract as far as I'm concerned, but he didn't manage the Broadhead or Burgess situations in my opinion. | |

| Most disappointing was on 23:17 - Feb 21 with 707 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | He scored for his boyhood club against his former team, a club he helped to two promotions and then didn’t get many minutes for various reasons. Not sure there’s anything I’ve cared about less really. Top player and wish him well. A lot more disappointed in us basically scoring it for him. | |

Agree totally. If a player scores for their club why not celebrate? Who cares who they played for. It’s not as if they give a flying fat one about the clubs. Kiss the badge and all that rubbish? It’s a living and a short one. Enjoy the moment. If he now hates KM, ITFC, Ashton, Bluey and the club cat, who cares? They come, they go. He did well for us. A really good player. Injury prone sadly, but with a year on his contract moved on to a progressing club in his country and we made a few pounds on him. Good luck to the bloke I say and players when they score should celebrate like hell.
