Frustrating.

O'Shea won a lot of headers from corners. But his heading was not good enough.

Needed to direct them across goal instead of weakly at the keeper. We put a lot of good balls in. Have to do better.

O'Shea was dreadful with his head. Missed from 3 yards, header over from 4 yards.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I feel with O’Shea positioned to head it back across (and successfully doing so a fair bit of the time) we would benefit from having more players coming from deeper attacking the second ball. We seem positioned to be quite static in the centre so nothing seems to have much power on it if we get a touch.

Football fans/pundits dig Arsenal out about their record on set plays, but when games are tight and the team aren’t really creating too much, they can make all the difference.

I'm surprised we never play them to the man on the edge of the box, especially with the embarrassment of riches that we have in terms of players who can curl one in from that sort of range.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Need a corner coach. As regards O'Shea at least he tried to do something about our lack of finishing up front, put in a double shift.

A bit of variety on corners wouldn’t go amiss. From where I was sat they looked identical each time

Part of the problem it seems to me is that we are too static at corners and so don't really attack the ball.

It also seems that we just have a number of players who don't have an eye for goal when it comes to corners. Indeed, I am inclined to think that it is a skill that you either have or you don't. People like Tommy Smith (21 goals in 247 appearances) and Christian Berra (14 goals in 174 appearance) spring to mind.

O’Shea played well defensively cost us badly today at the same time, the routine worked perfectly he just didn’t execute.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Kipre tends to be more central at corners than O'Shea. I wonder if we would be more successful if they swapped positions because maybe Kipre would at least head the ball a bit more forcefully.

He’s taking attention a way of the more physical CBs that’s the plan. O’Shea had free headers at the back post about 5 times.

We seem to have coaches atbthus club gur just about every aspect of the game yet we are so one dimensional its untrue. Leicester like so many before them had the measure of McKenna and his tactiC. Minimal variation or change in approach until far too late in the game. Leicester were 2 yards quicker than us all over the pitch for most of the game....

Wrexham vs Millwall on PO final I think ...with Millwall likely winners.
Us? LOL!

Corners were very good today. Won so many first contacts but couldn't get it over the line.

Dara needs to do better with these.

Corners are a farce generally these days. More pushing, shoving and grabbing than anything productive.

It may be the plan but the plan ain't working.

According to Fotmob, Kipre has scored 3 goals when his xG is 1.1. O'Shea has scored 1 goal when his xG is 2.5. In addition, Kipre has a shot conversion rate of 15.8% when O'Shea's is 3%.

All of this suggests to me that Kipre has a better "head" for goal than O'Shea, and given O'Shea isn't a 6 stone weakling, I don't see why he couldn't occupy the CBs instead, leaving more of the chances to KIpre. And don't forget that Kipre started off as a striker.

Johnny Wark was the ultimate at scoring from corners. We ought to get him in as corner coach.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Has O'Shea ever scored from a corner? Not sure how he managed to miss today. Especially the one he put over the bar. Free header 4 yards out.

Wrestling- but var isn’t stopping it - a whistle happy referee wouldn’t!

I thought we were trying different tactics with corners-Nunez to Davis at Oxford but it’s just wasteful now!
