In what way? Badenoch was part of the last government, which spent years systematically destroying the country. Farage made his political career campaigning for something which has actively harmed the country, he constantly talks the country down and takes millions in dodgy foreign money to shill for their interests over our own. That makes them the very opposite of patriotic. And Farage would have been goose-stepping around stages across the country in the 30s, telling his audience of black shirts about the great things happening in Germany and Italy and how we should join them. Apparently the FT is reporting that in a nutshell, for all his bluster last week about talking to Trump about Chagos, it was actually a member of the Mar a Lago club that invited him, not Trump at all, and he didn't even see Trump in the distance!

Sadly, this person has learned from modern right-wing politics that a catchy or dismissive soundbite is all you need. You don't need to do any of your own thinking - in fact it's better that you don't, because you might then realise you're voting directly against your own interests, like when you've depended upon the NHS you're accidentally seeking to destroy.
Sadly, the finest use of energy for people who actually understand what's happening seems to be not to hope to appeal to this person, but to try to appeal to others before they become this person.

All of this happens under the cover of "he's not a bad bloke, just a good ol' Suffolk "buh" who hasn't kept up with the times" - it really isn't a convincing act at all.
Worse still, he provides certain other bigoted types to regularly appear balanced and compassionate when they admonish him for his views.
