But when your club has just lost away in a cup competition and are facing relegation I think it just gives the fans another reason to see an underperforming player as being a bit lightweight.. I have a full skincare regime - cleanse, hyaluronic acid, moisturise and exfoliate twice a week. It isn't about being a neanderthal - it's why bring it up in that situation? What relevance does it have? Is he saying it affected his performance? If it does have a relevance, don't wear it on match day or at least don't tell everyone.

I used to love scraps!! The weekend beers weren’t such a bad thing either. The thing is, stuff that makes you happy is good for your health. Internet AI says: Reduced Stress: Happy people recover faster from stress, which lowers heart rate and blood pressure. Stronger Immunity: Positive emotions can improve the body's ability to fight off illnesses like the common cold. Improved Lifestyles: Happy individuals are more motivated to eat nutritiously and engage in regular physical activity. Longer Life: Research suggests a link between sustained happiness and increased longevity So enjoy those beers, a curry, an elephants leg, have a good laugh and avoid slapping axle grease on your face and looking like David Cameron, wilted salad, tofu and chick peas for a happy healthy life. Happy to help and advise.

| Oh omari on 10:22 - Mar 13 with 858 views | BloomBlue | The fans don't like him because they spent a club record fee on him and feel that entitles them to expect the 2nd coming of Messi. Similar to some Town fans with Egeli, £m spent should equal instant brilliance. Forgetting that these people are humans, and sometimes it takes time. But, mentioning face cream won't help, although it might help his agents bank balance. | | | |

I have never used moisteriser etc, but reckon my skin is looking pretty good for seventy years old. I put that down to good diet, I value my conversion to kefir, 70% plus cocoa chocolate, tofu etc. Only disadvantage is that I'm in danger of making myself a nuisance to other human beings until I am one hundred so I will have to find some form of misadventure to speed things up. Fortunately I still have an interest in women.

It's all about moderation innit. In my 20's I didn't have to worry about diet too much, I'd be football training twice a week, playing at weekends, coaching, getting plenty of steps in day-to-day and was quite into running. I'd generally 'fuel' my body for the most part, but like a lot of people could eat & drink whatever I wanted at that age. Now I'm in my later 30's I do no competitive sport, runs are occasional, and I work for myself at home, which doesn't lend itself to step count. Calorie wise I was on a champagne budget 10 years ago, now I have to be more Lambrini for intake to match output. Still important not to deprive oneself of things that bring joy though, for all the reasons ChatChurchman points out. I just have to do it on more of a debit / credit basis that ever. Generally that's a case of being very mindful of it, and maintaining some deficit in the week to utilise at weekends. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I’d be more concerned at them putting a kid up for media, rather than the experienced players. Lack of leadership. Very poor. Get the senior pros out taking the flak.

Ditch the tofu. It’s not happy food. I’m a bit over weight and drink too much. Eat what many would consider the wrong things at times too. On the other side, I do try and walk regularly, play golf in the summer, am reasonably fit and touch wood rarely ill. I had the cold from hell in Jan was the first since a mild dose of Covid in 2020). We very rarely eat packet food (Mrs C is a terrific cook) and still like cakes is a rare treat - I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth. I don’t use nonsense like moisturiser and look 40 years younger than I am. Errrr maybe not. With a face as ugly as the one I see in the mirror who could tell anyway! But I do ok. I actually couldn’t use that sort of stuff if I wanted to as my skin would react to it badly. I even have to use basic soap and non bio washing powder for clothes. No big deal. In terms of interest in women, the day that stops you’ll probably be in the back of a ‘private ambulance’. I know I will. [Post edited 13 Mar 11:13]

Does anyone really think that Julius Caesar delayed his crossing of the Rubicon to apply a little Nivea or Napoleon said ‘sorry I missed that bit of Waterloo when Ney charged the heavy cavalry at squares without infantry and artillery - I was having a face pack’. You need to ‘man up’ Flash! 😀 |
Blimey, I said drag themselves out of the dark ages, seems I had to go a bit further back! The Romans didn't know about germs, so I think skincare would be pretty low on their list of priorities!

Christ alive, who cares? What a thing to get worked up about. The reporter asked about how the weather affected him and he made a throwaway, slightly amusing comment. I very much doubt it affected his performance.

This is probably why I started looking my age pretty much as soon as a I hit fifty, and after always looking younger than my years nowadays could pass for much older. Arf!

I wouldn't say i'm worked up about it - I didn't even know it happened until I saw this thread... and then I think if you check back my first response was something along the lines of "weird thing to say". I think that is probably the issue, perhaps it was an attempt at humour and charisma isn't his forte so it didn't land? I personally don't care if his face is dry as a bone or lubricated within an inch of its life... I just found it strange and slightly amusing that he'd even mention it. If it genuinely was getting in his eyes, then how much is he using?!
