Has anyone had any kind of direct response from either Ashton or the club 18:30 - Mar 29 with 1639 viewsghostofescobar

To their emails or messages on the socials? I know I haven’t. The only one that’s responded any messages I’ve sent is Paul Hamilton at Halo.

I got a non response just referring me to their statement. I don’t expect anything else, it’s more about sending the message.

This was the body of my email but I haven't had a response.

"As a supporter of nearly 60 years and someone with a season ticket who goes to most away games, I am ashamed at the reputational damage to the club that has been caused by Farage's visit.

The decision to allow his media team in is a disgrace and has been exploited to the full by Reform, a party which doesn't support inclusion in football, something that goes against everything that football and the club is supposed to stand for.

I live in Kent and normally proudly wear my Ipswich shirt to the local gym. But I will not do in future for fear of being associated with this sorry state of affairs."

Hello. My name is lazyblue. I like to throw shade at anyone who does not agree with me, make up strawman statements and win arguments that exist solely in my head. I think you are all morons, but I won't bother engaging with it in any way.

Thanks for your input. It has been appreciated.

I would say that's positively mild compared to what I've been sending him...

Absent any reply I will be emailing him again tomorrow, ccing the pant sniffers Nash and Wehrun too, to ask who those three geniuses have invited to club this week.

Putin, Goebbels, Assad perhaps?

In an email to the club shop touting for business...

"Given the club's continued employment of Mark Ashton I won't be spending any money in the club shop until he's gone.

Feel free to take me off the mailing list whilst he remains at Portman Rd"

I tried to keep it short, sweet, objective and not overly partisan thinking it might cut through better, but it probably went in the bin.

I also sent it early on before various things emerged.

I’m sure the penny has dropped for Ashton now he’s been hung out to dry by Reform, GM TV and the Katie Hopkins of this world as to what Reform are all about.

Yet here you are having seen and commented on everything in the last week thinking Farage and Reform would give a single toss about you?

Or are you just trolling people that genuinely care about ITFC and the community it exists in?

I'm currently abroad but may well take it further when I get back.

But I do sense it is the law of diminishing returns given it is difficult to see Ashton commenting further on this. I also imagine he will go to ground for the rest of the season, not a good look for a CEO/Chair.

I imagine his days are numbered, and were we to be promoted, they need a replacement in post when the season ends particularly with the need to plan for the Premier League.

Don’t disagree with any of that but it’ll make me feel better to just keep on spamming him!

Suspect you’re right about going to ground too. For somebody that thinks of much of himself as Ashton, this must be so terribly humbling.

Had over by a pound shop grifter he wanted to be friends with and embarrassed himself in the most public of arenas.

I sent a letter to the makers of Coronation Street, saying how much I have enjoyed their show over the years. I got a lovely reply from both Barbara Knox and Malcolm Hebden saying "thanks me old beauty"

Don’t want to say word for word, but something along the lines of, yep, a mess, but should be sorted over the coming days. This was before the Ashton meaningless “apology”.
