Are you against it because of the timing and the effect it could have on the team on the day? 2. Are you against it because we should keep politics out of football? 3. Are you just against it? Genuine question. (I'm a lefty, but I haven't decided how I feel about it yet.)

I am against the made up stats. Against calling for the resignation of Marcus Nash unless more information has come out and he actually had a say in what happened. Against filling in gaps in what we know with guesswork (yes that is partly on the club but there could be things we don't know that Ashton would love to tell us but can't - owner involvement etc). Against calling Reform voters enablers of racism and fascism as well to be honest. That one will go down like a lead balloon. Good luck to them though. We will see how many agree based on the turnout. I suspect they will get around 100.

....extended to "for the rest of the season". Once the season is over the supporters should take a step back, see what happens and then act accordingly. 2 is a bit simplistic, but valid. Although the horse has bolted on that one. But also due to the reason Sitters has noted, the last thing we need is a load of divs with multicoloured hair rolling around on the floor with a load of divs wearing Stone Thailand jumpers. Overall it will achieve little, other than entrenching people in their already existing views. Protesting when realistically it will achieve nothing is all just a bit "look at me" in my opinion. I guess that for these reasons, and others, ultimately it leads me to number 3 on your list!

100% this. Whilst we could all sit here and say that this wouldn’t even be contemplated if last week hadn’t happened it is massively irresponsible to organise something like this before a game. A far better outcome is the supporter base coming together to back the team. We do not need to introduce divisions in football at all.

I understand exactly what you’re saying, and if I’m honest your opinion is probably the majority one. That’s why this situation is such a nightmare. I’m just really frustrated, and just wish none of this had ever happened. I’m used to being the lone lefty in my circle of friends/ family, and supporting Town was never a divisive issue. It now is, and it’s rubbish.
| Love Town, Hate Racism protest - Mon 1pm on 19:08 - Mar 30 with 2899 views | GlasgowBlue | I completely agree with the sentiment, but I'm concerned that this may well be counterproductive and could continue into the stadium and have an effect on the game. And yes I appreciate that some things are more important than 22 men kicking a bag of wind about. Let's be clear here. Ashton and or the club invited a toxic racist politician into our club and allowed his vile party to exploit our name, logos and reputation. Ashton and or the club then proceed to lie about the events that took place and the circumstances behind it. When he was caught in the lie he offered up a mealy mouthed non apology. For all of the above he deserves to lose his job. That is my view and the view of a great number of supporters on here and on social media. I have no idea if that is the majority view or the minority view of our fanbase. It may not be the view of the people who make the decision. We don't know There has to be a day of reckoning for Ashton. But I don't think that should happen during matchday. As supporters we can vocaly support Kieran McKenna and the players on matchday whilst making the club aware of our views on Mark Ashton on any other day. | |

Re your last sentence; that horse has well and truly bolted. The horse was called Nigel and was ridden by a Mark Ashton

Thanks for a clear and mature answer. We'll never all agree on everything, but it's so valuable to hear different opinions from people - it's the only way we might work towards consensus and/or compromise in a crappy, divided, antagonistic world. Nice one.

Could you have just typed that without calling it 'gimp level cringe'. Why does everything have to be so hyperbolic and unreasoned.
