Yeah, I know that obviously. It was just that was the odds the bookies had on that horse, which gave me a pointer as to its chances of me being a winner in the sweepstake.

It's only £40 for the winner and £20 for second place.

Its all about stamina so look at who has completed over longer distances, good performances in the Scottish and Welsh nationals is a good place to start.
Sadly cant bet on it here but previously got many winners using this methodology

I had 3 years more or less working for Ladbrokes in the shops and I blooooody loved grand national day.
I remember it was the only day as an employee you couldn’t miss for ANY reason.
Really enjoyed the craziness of the day the adrenaline was fantastic and teamwork…most of all being thrown into the throng of normies and helping out.. the regulars wouldn’t go in that day.
Tips ? … no doubt the stamina mentioned earlier and anything Mullins has been near.. and with the regular changes to the rules and safety measures it’s much less of a lottery than it used to be.
