It may be an unpopular opinion, but I've been really disappointed with his contribution since he arrived. There's no drive in his game, no bite in the tackle and he really does not seem comfortable unless he has a tonne of space and time. I am sure you are not alone. Hard to see what he is bringing to the team at the moment. Does not drive forward with the ball, safe sideways/backwards passes, not seeing the passion or grit that Taylor has shown recently. Not alone tonight but just stood watching while Portsmouth scored the 2nd goal.
Not really the kind of physical profile that I thought we were looking for. I know he has not played much this season but by now he should be reasonablyup to speed. Quite disappointing. | | | |

I watched plenty of clips of him when he was first linked and signed. Despite knowing of him, I couldn’t say I was an expert but what I saw genuinely excited me and he looked like the ideal player to play alongside our 'destroyer' Matusiwa. He looked like a player who wanted the ball, could dictate play and most importantly couldo drive forward and get the midfield up the pitch. Sadly, I think we’ve seen that for about 45 minutes in total (Swansea maybe).
I’m sure I read somewhere he said he’s being coached into a different role or way of playing, maybe I imagined it but he certainly doesn’t look like the player who led The Black Cats to promotion from the Champ. I mentioned this on another post last week I believe where I said what a difference and breath of fresh air Mehmeti was when he first come in but with more 'coaching' he seems to have been stifled.. | | | |
