| A really sad day.... 17:51 - Apr 16 with 4665 views | BanksterDebtSlave | A little bit look at me but mostly I just wanted Bloots to know!! Just this moment sent this.... Dear Sir/Madam After some 16 years or so of having a season ticket that's it for me and my daughter. The Ashton/Farage debacle had pretty much made up my mind and now these price increases are the final straw. Money and corporate disregard/lack of accountability have done for me and I fear ultimately the game too. Yours etc.... | |

In his ninety years on this planet I can never once recall my now departed dad, Suffolk born and bred, calling me anything other than buh. Maybe he never knew my name but who knows?

Quite likely yes, if it was heartfelt and sincere. I started going as a carer for a very good friend who died just over a year ago and we split the cost of his concession priced ticket for all those years during which we moved to the posh seats too. After his passing I took the hit of a full price ticket and another 14 per cent on that crossed a line for next year. Without the Ashton nonsense I would probably have just moved somewhere cheaper but have decided on away days only for now and hopefully have half a chance of affording a holiday too. It is annoying how he shat out that recorded message - which was part “sorry we got caught lying” and part “sorry if you’re upset about it” - instead of owning it and coming out with something that was remotely heartfelt or genuine. He went for the “quick say something and hope we get promoted” strategy which may have been his idea or a directive from above. All very unseemly and wholly unnecessary.

| A really sad day.... on 18:11 - Apr 16 by BanksterDebtSlave | Nope I will still be going to some away for as long as the points (currently 44) permit it so I'll just have to pay penance for the £40 membership. Edit The Ashton thing set the ball in motion but the money factor home and away is hard to justify personally. [Post edited 16 Apr 18:13]

Well yes it is a expensive day out now especially if you have to drive or train in from a distance. Enjoy those away days when you can manage it.

The politics and the price increase. He doesn't feel that he can justify the outlay. I get that.

It's what made my mind up as explained to Illers, if I knew Ashton was leaving then I'd have renewed but from a cheaper seat. Being given just 5 days to decide was a really poor move too.

I didn’t realise that you only had 5 days to decide if you wanted to renew.

Isnt it 5 days to cancel a current DD? The renewal window for existing season ticket holders is open now and will run until 5pm on Friday, 1 May. [Post edited 17 Apr 8:46]

| A really sad day.... on 09:07 - Apr 17 with 285 views | Swansea_Blue | Save the money and invest it in an arms company. You’ll make a killing (figuratively and literally)! Do you think subconsciously that the entertainment value is part of it? I’ve found this year a tough watch at times. You build yourself up for the match and then it often ends up an anti-climax as we huff and puff and struggle to find any fluidity. Rinse and repeat. I’m only doing away games though, so I’m only seeing the worst of us. | |

| A really sad day.... on 09:28 - Apr 17 with 234 views | Pinewoodblue | Reminds me of the summer of 95. Last day of season walking along the middle tier of West stand and handing six season tickets to David Sheepshanks informing him won’t be renewing until a change of direction in the boardroom. Two months later received a letter asking me to reconsider, signed by David Sheepshanks. Was not alone season ticket sales took a dive. Power to the people. Hopefully a similar change of leadership will be forthcoming. | |

I believe you'll find this is a breach of the 25/26 terms and conditions, and you should challenge the club on it. It has changed for this year if you compare the T&Cs, but last year's terms does not mention any notice period or date for cancellation of the Direct Debit before renewal in 2026, and therefore should be the default Direct Debit Guaranty term of 10 working days after notification of the DD changes. That would be April 30th.

Nah just a few, I could list them, but its easier to just see who downvote my posts. You are one, in case you're wondering 🙂 There are a few who I really like as well. They tend not to bleat on about Ashton, patronise anybody with a different opinion and dont act like sanctimonious berks. Hope that clears it up.
