That boat's sailed - there's an agreement to sell him to Sassuolo for €10M if they want to keep him. The only way it seems we get more is if they pass on their option.

| What do we do about Muric? on 14:36 - May 3 by tetchris | Sassuolo have an option to buy for an already agreed €10 million euros (around £8.7 million pounds), although there are rumours they are trying to negotiate a discount on that price. Juventus are also reported to be interested. MA should hold steady and get the full amount agreed or agree another loan elsewhere. Hopefully MA can negotiate the deal for Akpom down front £7 million to £1 million and then flog him to Birmingham |
Noticed he's been on the bench for last couple of games, and again today.

| What do we do about Muric? on 15:18 - May 3 with 200 views | Libero | I cannot believe people are seriously suggesting having him back here- what was it? 8 individual errors that directly led to goals? I believe only Robert Sanchez matched or bettered his incompetence. | | | |

Is that an appearances hitting the obligation thing? Or being considered second choice now? I got the feeling he has done well there. There have only been a couple of posts through the whole season from those determined to highlight his errors. There have been some very impressive performances from him highlighted too. I would suggest that, if Sassuolo don't wish to pay the agreed fee, we may well find another Italian club would.

I suspect so, although as one of the best performing goalkeepers in Serie A ... 6th highest save % 4th highest goals prevented 2nd highest saves per 90 2nd highest Futmob rating of all GKs and still only 27? You'd have thought we could get more than £8.7 million now ...
| What do we do about Muric? on 15:34 - May 3 with 170 views | GlasgowBlue | It would save us a lot of time and money getting a Premier League class keeper but I think the relationship with club and player has broken down beyond repair. | |

yes, and he was as good as Palmer, let less goals in too I think overall, its just his confidence was shot and abunch of the fans blamed him everytime we lost. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Every Premier League error he made that directly led to a goal, probably knocks off a potential £1.5 million from his price-tag each time. Lots of potential there, but the reality is he is proven to make costly errors, repeatedly.

| What do we do about Muric? on 13:17 - May 3 by ITFC_Forever | Sell. He’s had a decent season in Italy, and I can’t see a way back for him here. We should be able to get at least £10m - £15m for him. |
You think we can get 15m for a keeper we don't even want? Crickey. Pretty sure there is an option to buy at a lot less than that. SB

Option to buy for €10 million. His stock has certainly risen since we did that deal but I'm sure we'd be happy just to get back what we paid for him.

I think the idea is he if was to return and wanted to play as well as he has done in Italy then it is one less player to source. However, he did have some calamity moments right enough.

I’d need to dig into some statistics about the amount and kind of shots most common in Italy, but frankly- he’d need to have improved and then some to even be considered for the bench here- I heard he had some good performances, but I also still saw clips of him doing his trademark howlers. Seems crazy to me that anyone thinks he should be a part of the group here.

It would be an odd carousel of transfers if Muric was to go to a footballing giant like Juventus (Is this even likely) and then we have to not just buy but source a brand new starting GK. The buying bit we have the power to do it is the sourcing bit we have not been very good at last time and we need to start the season with an actual team this time and not starting a fringe squad player to make up the numbers.
| What do we do about Muric? on 17:47 - May 3 with 17 views | RayleighBlue | Not for me sorry. Never really looked like he wanted to be here and that was before the errors started. I've never been totally convinced that he missed the opening game of the season because of an "injury" You could tell by the reaction of the players to Walton keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea that they wanted him in the side. Honestly wouldn't be totally gutted to start the season with Walton in goal. Ideally we would upgrade but it wouldn't be my top position to target players. | | | |
