Sassuolo have an option to buy for an already agreed €10 million euros (around £8.7 million pounds), although there are rumours they are trying to negotiate a discount on that price. Juventus are also reported to be interested. MA should hold steady and get the full amount agreed or agree another loan elsewhere.
Hopefully MA can negotiate the deal for Akpom down front £7 million to £1 million and then flog him to Birmingham

I got the feeling he has done well there. There have only been a couple of posts through the whole season from those determined to highlight his errors. There have been some very impressive performances from him highlighted too.
I would suggest that, if Sassuolo don't wish to pay the agreed fee, we may well find another Italian club would. |  |

Every Premier League error he made that directly led to a goal, probably knocks off a potential £1.5 million from his price-tag each time.

I’d need to dig into some statistics about the amount and kind of shots most common in Italy, but frankly- he’d need to have improved and then some to even be considered for the bench here- I heard he had some good performances, but I also still saw clips of him doing his trademark howlers.

It would be an odd carousel of transfers if Muric was to go to a footballing giant like Juventus (Is this even likely) and then we have to not just buy but source a brand new starting GK.
The buying bit we have the power to do it is the sourcing bit we have not been very good at last time and we need to start the season with an actual team this time and not starting a fringe squad player to make up the numbers. | | | |

Not for me sorry. Never really looked like he wanted to be here and that was before the errors started. I've never been totally convinced that he missed the opening game of the season because of an "injury"
You could tell by the reaction of the players to Walton keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea that they wanted him in the side.
Honestly wouldn't be totally gutted to start the season with Walton in goal. Ideally we would upgrade but it wouldn't be my top position to target players. | | | |
