I assume that would've reduced the bar area/Planet Blue footprint at each end of the North Stand to put seating into the corners at that end, and Churchman's end, would've been where the scoreboard/pitch access is now positioned, as well as the control centre/TV studio above the tunnel? |  |

Looking at the incredibly slow progress of Wrexham’s new stand doesn’t inspire any confidence that the new Cobbold will be in operation anytime soon. 2032/33 maybe? Unless… Gamechanger folks can ship over a team of Amish builders, in which case the new stand will be ready by next week. |  |

When the North Stand was rebuilt, if I remember correctly, that there were ventilation shutters built into the stand that could be opened and closed to assist with ventilation in the maintenance and condition of the existing pitch. If I am correct, then that would potentially no longer be required, with the new pitch with undersoil heating being recently put in place. If this is the case, then the corners could potentially be considered for extra seating. |  | | |

Another tier on top of West stand will be quite something. Better than having 3k or 4k fans with nowhere to go but won’t be much of a view from up there, surely?
I still wonder if there’s a way to knock down half the Cobbold - leave enough room for away fans - and get on with building a new half, then knock down the away section and finish it off.
The logistics and financing and uncertainty of what league we’ll be in, make this a complex project. Sooner we start the better. |

I imagine planning permission being submitted for one of the stands, or has recently been submitted.
Would imagine they'll try and do what Liverpool did with the Cobbold, limits the impact of ST holders, which is why there was a big song and dance about securing the perimeter around it. |
I think the point of adding a tier to the West Stand it to house the Cobbold Stand season ticket holders whilst it is is demolished and re-built. |  |

Just seems that £38m (probably £50m by the time its completed) is a heck of a lot for a publicly funded pool.
Crown Pools wont fetch much in terms of land value, and could have done a high level refurb for 10% of the cost of the new building.
