Do you know anyone here who has indefinitely leave to remain? They may have been here for 25 years or more. Reform are seriously looking into removing that and making them apply for an expensive visa which they might not even get. That is peoples partners and friends, not "illegal immigrants".

I do think reform would reduce immigration. They'd introduce policies that would make it difficult for people to stay here and it wouldn't be such a target destination. Trouble is the boats might start going the other way as the country would go downhill fast. |

Just to confirm, you seem to be saying that it's wrong to point out that someone is factually incorrect and it's wrong to be annoyed when they disbelieve the facts without even bothering to look into it.
If that's your stance, you're the one in the wrong. It's not nasty to want someone to be informed, especially when you provide the information for them so they don't even have to look for it.
