Farage claiming that the source of the leak about his 5m gift was Russian hacking. Whilst that is far from ideal given his public status at the moment, there doesn't seem to be any evidence and surely it is totally irrelevant?

The issue is he wasn't going to declare the gift/donation (depending on whom in Reform is answering) so why is he pushing the Russian hack angle as if it makes a difference?

Nobody's shoving anything down your throat. It's such a disgusting saying, used solely by anti-intellectual, closed minded losers.

Nobody is forcing you to type out your ignorant nonsense in response to any post, you're just incapable of not voicing your opinion on every little thing.

...one of the issues on here as we are on the subject.

If one of the "right wing" mob had said this about one of the "left wing" mob it would have been reported as abuse and brought to Phil's attention.

Tellings off would have followed and potentially a ban at some stage, but because it's not reported it goes unnoticed.

The amount of offensive abuse dished out by some posters and their ability to get away with it is certainly largely dependant on how sensitive the person receiving it is.

My thoughts exactly.

Im constantly accused of vile abuse, but Ive been on the receiving end of several of these and have never posted anything of this level.

Double standards me thinks.

Ps im not reporting it, im sure most normal minded people will see it for what it is.

What was he banned for again? How do you go about getting un-banned should the worst happen? Just in case, like.

He's been banned several times. He has an awful history of pouring over posters social media profile and sharing personal info with his virtual mates. Sent me PM's about how easy it was to find me. Started to make libelous claims on here about me which saw Phil give him his final marching orders. He's sneaked back on under various aliases, only to get abusive within days and banned again.

Phil did let him back on here under his 'Footers' name about 18 months ago on the promise he'd behave. On day one he accused Blueas and another poster of "being familiar with 14 year old bpys", day 2 saw him tell Bloots that his Mrs was on only fans and by day 3 he was back on my social media and started to make derogatory remarks about a photo of the wife and I when we had just completed the Glasgow Half Marathon, which saw his last ban.

I can’t see why he felt the need to say that last line.

that's disgusting behaviour.

as with the other banned posters, shows phil and gav generally get it right.

regardless of what a good person they present in 99% of the posts/at the game, it's how you behave in the worst 1% which is the measure of what gets them banned.

Some people take disagreement on this place way too seriously.

I'm sure we've all seen comments by individuals that really annoy us, and occasionally post something back that you probably know you shouldn't, but carrying grudges that far is just odd.

Interesting snippet from a report by Ann Black of the latest Labour Party NEC meeting.

"Labour’s YouTube broadcast, repeating statements from Reform representatives, was viewed 25 million times and was intended to be uncomfortable. I feel grubby watching it and am reminded of 2023 when I was told I was being squeamish over the Rishi Sunak child abuse attacks. But even in hard electoral terms did it increase Labour’s vote, or damage Reform, or drive people away altogether because we are all disgusting?"

In my view, it goes to show that negative stories about Reform, and threads such as this one, don't cut through.

If Reform is to be defeated, Labour (in with the best chance) has to come up with a compelling narrative.

I might add that sadly right wing negative stories about parties of, and people on, the left do cut through but we have to accept the world as it is not as we'd like it to be.

I don't disagree with the gist of your overall point, that sort of comment is just an attempt to shut down debate and not play any constructive part. However, no need to turn it into personal comments, whatever your thoughts on them.
