I don't know how they dodge hate speech laws tbh. And besides, he's hopelessly muddled. He wants an end to DEI (note the American usage of the term rather than the common EDI usage in the UK). But he wants "a country that treats everybody equally and fairly before the law" So in other words he wants EDI lol.

I suspect he's using the Americanism DEI too because it's building on the groundwork that the populist right have already put into demonisting that acronym, so it will be familiar to his fanboys even if they don't know what it means.
