| Hoping Fulham choose Lampard on 12:24 - Jun 4 with 2831 views | franz_tyson | But then Coventry can steal Kieran. He'd be closer to home and they'd just need to find 3million out of their 240 million to pay us. Things are never simple... | | | |

| Hoping Fulham choose Lampard on 12:40 - Jun 4 with 2666 views | Wacko | Surely these are all better* (and cheaper) options for Fulham than McKenna: Ange Igor Tudor Thiago Motta Thomas Frank *maybe not better but higher profile / more experienced Also technically Mourinho can only be confirmed at Real after the presidential elections, so there's a chance he may not go (clutching at straws) | |

I think Tudor's goose is cooked. Never been in a job more than a year for ages now.

He also has more Premier League experience than McKenna and in all honesty did a better job last season. Hopefully Fulham take both into account.

I'd second this. Obviously he did really well to get promotion, kudos to him, but I do feel there are a few caveats to their season and his influence over it. His Premier League managerial stats are woeful, truly appalling, and with much stronger squads than he is going to have next season. I like Coventry as a club, but I'd imagine they are going to be odds on for a rock bottom finish. Unless they keep up their momentum and plough through the first few games, I don't think Lampard has the tactical capabilities to win in the PL.

That’s who will get the job , no compensation and bags more experience, McKenna is going nowhere for now .

Yep, can't see Fulham fans embracing a Chelsea Legend.

Maybe Mourinho is waiting to see if McKenna does go, so he could come to us instead of Madrid, completing the loop going back to Sir Bobby

Frankly (excuse the pun) I find that a bizarre comment. When Frank Lampard took over Coventry City, they were 17th in the Championship and just two points above relegation. He got them into the play offs at the end of that season and this season he finished 11 points and 17 goals scored ahead of us to win the league. The first non parachute team to win the Championship since Leeds, six years ago. His win percentage at Chelsea was 52.4% and got them to an FA Cup final. His stats at Everton weren't great but Everton have been circling the swamp for years now.

There is almost no rivalry between the two and Lampard isn’t going back to Chelsea for a third time. Think the owners have learnt their lesson now with putting rookie managers in. More broadly, I cannot see any credible mention online of Lampard being linked to Fulham. So I don’t know how this thread started!
| Hoping Fulham choose Lampard on 15:00 - Jun 4 with 1656 views | Chrisd | I appreciate a lot of us are concerned with Fulham’s interest, but I’m one of those that isn’t. McKenna has done a terrific job for us and I can most certainly see the appeal of Fulham to him. However, I think if all parties agree and McKenna goes, it then allows us to bring in a manager that knows the EPL and understands what is required to consolidate at that higher level. It might even be our best chance to survive. | |

Talksport have said Lampard is on Fulham's shortlist. Edit - actually the headline was misleading and it is more speculative. [Post edited 4 Jun 15:05]

He comes across as a really decent fella too. He's someone I could get right behind if he were to replace Mr.McKenna

Thought so. Cannot see Lampard getting another established PL job for a while if at all. Best thing he can do is stay at Cov and make a go of it there.

I would put too much weight on Talksport. They regurgitate an awful lot of newspaper tripe. Their hit rate is about 50% as a result.

Fulham fans on twitter would strongly disagree with your first line.

| Hoping Fulham choose Lampard on 17:06 - Jun 4 with 1225 views | darkhorse28 | Or he goes, it weakens Fulham, and drags them closer to us. McKenna has it all to prove at this level, they aren’t great at his weakness (recruitment) and Silva worked miracles. Funny thing perspective. It’s not impossible we get better (Frank) and him leaving aged well for us…, shocked after 22 points people can’t see the opportunity alongside the threat. | | | |

I don't think KM will want to fail twice in the EPL at the same club, something else which makes me think he might well move on. And I'm strangely indifferent at the prospect.
