| O'Neil now 1/2 10:35 - Jun 11 with 3217 views | Cheltenham_Blue | followed by OGS at 4/1 and Rosenior at 4/1 Hellberg at 8/1 Then a massive gap to a stack of others including John Eustace? at 20s Some it's easy to see why. O'Neil allegedly about to be sacked by Strasbourg. OGS a friend of McKenna and Pert Rosenior has a faint link with Town. After that we get into the stuff where people aren't just putting 2 and 2 together. Of those top 4. OGS seems the most likely to me. | |

I know a lady who taught Darren Bent's class in Cambridgeshire. She said he could be difficult.

| O'Neil now 1/2 on 11:18 - Jun 11 by yorkshireblue | GoN left a Wolves side full of internationals including ones that they sold for £62million, £50 million, £35 million in 19th. I'd hate to see what he would do with a sqaud that didn't have that level of talent at his disposal. |
Mackay left Cardiff out the bottom 3 and OGS got them relegated with "more attractive" football. On that Basis Nuno will get no further jobs. Look at that West Ham team. That fact people are "happy" with OGS tells me i'm in the minority. He's not going to do it. too attacking and will get us battered.

| O'Neil now 1/2 on 11:21 - Jun 11 by portmanking | Does he?! I have to say, I think OGS was made to look a whole lot better by the work of Kieran and Carrick on the training pitch. |
I think he does in the sense he drops into the set up we have, with the existing staff we have, with minimal change and keeping continuity. Worked with Pert at Utd/Cardiff. Worked with our new recruitment guys at Utd. We know he has watched a lot of us as he's at games often as a friend of McKennas - even right back to the L1 days. I think he gets the players on side quickly as well. And he will have pull in the European market when we come to recruiting. If the alternative is someone like O'Neil or Rosenior then OGS is a far better option for me. Edit - assuming McKenna also is truly not going anywhere for 12 months then I am sure he would be a sounding board for OGS at times as well just as OGS was to him. [Post edited 11 Jun 11:51]

| O'Neil now 1/2 on 10:50 - Jun 11 by GlasgowBlue | OGS would be my first choice as Frank has ruled himself out. Wouldn’t be upset with either GO or LR but OGS just seems like the perfect fit. |
Has Frank ruled himself out? Damnit, I was hoping...

Yes. Its more interesting to see who is 'lengthening' (Ooo-err) and shortening. Indicates that there is some discussion in the market somewhere. As I said yesterday, I think now that the reason for McKenna being as short as 1/5 for Fulham with some bookies closing their books is because there was talk that Ipswich themselves had been talking to managers to replace Kieran. Bookies didn't have the full story, but you can see why they put 2 and 2 together.

Not out of the Town job. He did previously with the Fulham job. "Now is not the time, I'll not return to management this summer" But he didn't know the Ipswich job would be available then..

She probably would have had a better chance of marking him if she wore flats.

An advantage of O'Neil is he knows the French league, and you have to say there are likely to be some top players in that League, that we can realistically attract.

Hadn't realised this, but O'Neil was interviewed for the Liverpool job before Slot took over. Obviously that's not going to mean loads, but the fact he was even offered an interview is impressive for him. He's very streaky with performances, long runs being good, then no wins ever forever lol. I'm sure he'd have answers. My worry is the time afforded to get going quickly with the Norwich past, won't take much for him to be disliked and have the fans on his back.
