I did Google and got an AI response on the 27%, it's a risky assumption but judging by the look of things when the ballot boxes were emptied at the count i was at I suspect in some cases wifey votes how an overbearing husband tells her to vote. And there are prominent women amongst Reform's members, candidates and even a couple of Members of Parliament so i imagine some women vote for them... | |

I respectfully still don't agree for a number of reasons:
I will use the same stats to construct a different false conclusion.
Using the governments numbers, the lowest annual figure was in 2023 under a Conservative government, where there was a 33% reduction on the prior year. 2023 has the lowest number of crossings in any of the years quoted.
I would only accept that direct government policy is successful when small boat crossing are down below 10,000. At present, the numbers from the prior 4 years just show volatility. There is no way you can draw a causal effect from government policy. | | | |
