| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? 08:04 - Jul 2 with 1378 views | urbanblue | Here in Aus games are often at difficult times so having to get up very early to watch live and catch up with replays and extended replays every night having spent the day trying to avoid the scores. They are coming thick and fast. Got home from work the other night thinking I just want to watch a film or Series. Of course I watched the football though. It's exhausting ... | | | | |

At the end of the day, you can take or leave what you want to but if you want to follow all of the games, your body clock could resent you. I'm enjoying it though living in blighty. I can have the afternoon game on and finish off work on the laptop until half-time. Prepare and eat dinner during the second half. Go out for a walk or something, home and shower in time for the evening game. The midnight/later games are a different beast. I deliberately stayed up to see Mexico v Ecuador but had music on and ignorant to the fact the game had been delayed until I switched on at 2am to find nothing was happening. Sitting in my living room awake at 3am with a game not even having started yet felt a little irresponsible for somebody who needed to be up 4 hours later. By and large, the games I really want to see have been on at agreeable times for me. England's next game is going to result in a pretty sluggish start to my work week mind.

Perfect timing here in the UK, game when you get home from work, quick break to eat and water the garden, then another live game and bed. Up early to watch highlights of 2am game. FOOTBALL!

| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 09:46 - Jul 2 with 1202 views | GlasgowBlue | I’m in Aus but struggling with sleep. Been here since Saturday and am only getting about three hours sleep a night so have been watching most the games.england was 2am then I followed that with the Senegal Belgium game at 5am. Wanted to watch the Aussie game in a pub but it’s on at 4am. | |

| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 09:53 - Jul 2 with 1182 views | _CliveBaker_ | Main downside for me is the games aren't very child friendly. My 2 are at an age where they would love to watch, they would probably form their first world cup memories like mine were of '94 (which ironically was in US, but for some reason I have strong memories of it despite England not qualifying, maybe the kick off times were earlier). Last night was nice though, 5pm kick off so could make a thing of it with some friends and their kids over, fired up the BBQ and got 3 Lions blaring at full time. IF we get past Mexico they can watch any subsequent games. 10pm Saturday night 1/4 final against Brazil? Ooof As Wally says they've been adult friendly though. Post kids bed time, get the 8pm / 9pm kick off on, that's been quite nice. | | | |

| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 10:16 - Jul 2 with 1132 views | Churchman | Nah. Loving it. I have seen all the evening games but not the night games. However I pick up on the highlights or even the whole game the following day if I can. Bring it on! Fitting in the cricket can be challenging and now we have the tennis. I dislike tennis, but Mrs C loves it so that’ll be on this afternoon. | | | |
| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 10:24 - Jul 2 with 1092 views | Steve_M | It feels a bit more manageable with only a couple of overnight games, the middle of last week with four of them was harder to follow. I'm definitely missing being bale to stick the TV on at work and half-watch random games. Big dilemma with the England game now but also the more significant games being at midnight or later over here. | |

| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 10:25 - Jul 2 with 1087 views | WeWereZombies | Agree, I had had enough football as soon as the final whistle sounded on our home game against QPR, finish the season on a high and then go off and do outdoor things all summer. Football should be three o'clock on a Saturday from the start of September until mid-April, bloody millennials... | |

Tuchel's plea to let the kids stay up for the next game made me chuckle. I reckon im pretty chilled and flexible as a dad but staying up till 3am+ on a school night is probably stretching it.

Its not just the kids staying up that's a problem, I think parents are struggling with it. Nice idea from Thomas, but if he thinks my kids are staying up until 3am on a Monday morning before a week at school he can think again.

Oh, I think it's worse than that, fully expecting reports of the Deutsche Marine assembling off the Suffolk coast around three on Monday morning when in the nation is in a deflated state and half the populace are struggling to get distraught ten year olds to bed. "Danke, Agent Tuchel, Ihre Arbeit ist getan".

Very true about the parents I wonder whether there might be some kind of grassroots campaign to have a national morning off? Whatever, I fully expect to hear Tuckel's words quoted back at me by my 13 year old!

Roughly 170-180 years I think. That’s not the issue - I’m not normally in til 9, then need to shovel food down the kids, get their stuff ready for the next day and then try to get some sleep for a 5 am start. American have been most inconsiderate lol

That's septics for you. So, you're out for 16 hours a day? Respect. Or, you work from 5am to 9am. In which case, what's wrong with you man!

It's all free on SBS here in Australia Finished working this year, so watch every game so far bar two of them. get up at 5 am and watch full games on replay two in the morning and one after lunch. Dont look at my phone or lap top till I have seen all the games. Will get up at daft O'clock for the England games and the Australian games, but they have mostly been at good times for me So I like see them Live live. But I am used to it watching Town games here at one in the morning anyway. Next game is Australia v Egypt at 3 am and the England v Mexico game is 0930 [Post edited 3 Jul 6:22]

| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 07:54 - Jul 3 with 442 views | Vaughan8 | There are too many games to watxh them all. The timings here usually means I get to watch 1 game a night. It's a shame some games hVe been a bit too late (portugal v croatia last night, Netherlands s v Morocco too) but it is what it is. I'm still thinking about what to do for this England match on Monday morning..... | | | |
| Anyone else getting a little footballed out? on 08:02 - Jul 3 with 427 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Games are generally in the early hours here. It is the nature of a World Cup in a different continent. I watch matches that fit in with my schedule and catch up with the news when it suits me. That includes the England matches. I will probably try to sleep Sunday afternoon/early evening so I can stay up and watch England and still be fit for work on Monday. But I will also probably go to bed at half time especially if it's a dull game or all but over by then. I am not obsessed with live football. Even Town matches, if I have something important enough to prioritise over the game I will do so and just keep an eye on the score as and when I can. | |
