Chilavert is a clown. He desperately throws around hot takes these days to try and stay relevant in punditry and catch attention beyond just Paraguay (he wants to get picked up for more media work in Argentina).
Before the Germany game he was spouting all sorts of guff about Gill and Paraguay’s manager - best ignore anything he says, he’s like a Paraguayan Chris Sutton. The Argentina commentary team on espn for the game were saying this tournament feels like a ‘coming of age’ for Orlando Gill and they were happy and a bit surprised to see he was able to carry good form at San Lorenzo into games against that calibre of opponent.
