Can’t really see any option other than having qualifying matches for the World Cup or the Euros, though.
The tedious friendlies and this nations league nonsense are overkill though and I loathe those 12 day international breaks where one match is often just a pointless friendly with fringe players and those who couldn’t get a sick note from Arteta or Pep.
Just play the qualifiers on a weekday like they used to, although I guess the problem nowadays is the South American WC qualifiers, with so many of their players involved in Europe’s top divisions now. |
Yep, you’ve got to whittle out Lichtenstein somehow. I’m not sure about the nations league thing. I’ve never understood it, but they seem to get quite excited by it over here in Wales. Maybe it’s useful for smaller nations? They could keep it for whatever good it does for the small nations, but treat it like that domestic cup where larger clubs only send their U21s. It’d be helpful for our youngsters’ development. |  |

I saw Asian federation against and another, so nowhere near enough to get this proposal through with support, I guess they can go ahead and just have a World Cup with many member associations not joining so it might almost just be an American cup with the trophy being a giant Toby Jug with the orange one as the figure head.
What I hope is the same federations now don't support Infantino in the re-election and then we can hopefully see the end of him.
My point on the Czech FA is they seem to have made a u-turn if they voted with the rest of the UEFA MAs.
