They are in trouble if this is their first move to add to their Championship winning squad, especially if they are struggling to get it over the line. It's our equivalent of Szmodics from 2 seasons ago; a good player who stands out at Championship level, but ultimately they need to add more quality, strength & power, quickly.

I hope not. He would be a very August 2024 Ipswich Town signing.

He's a good player at that level, but he's 29 years old, his only season in the Premier League was in a Sheffield United side that stunk the place out, and he's not likely to bridge the gap between Championship and Prem. Had he not played for Cov previously I doubt their fans would be desperate for him back either.

One of my favourite Championship players to watch over the past few years but I wouldn't want him here. Doesn't move the needle and wouldn't fit the new pressing identity O'Neil wants to implement.

Would be a terrible signing. I'd be very happy for him to go to Coventry.

If this is the players they’re after it’s going to be a long season being a Coventry fan. Would have thought with Lampard in charge he’d know what to expect.

I think Coventry are going to struggle as much as we did after our first promotion to the Premier League.

Looking at the players we’re bringing in I’m hoping we’re going to be more competitive this season.

I sincerely hope not! Hopefully he goes to Coventry and that distracts them from signing a Premier League quality player.

We are clearly shopping in a different market. Good championship players are not what we are looking for. In fact, we are moving those players on.

Not Premier League material imo.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

Reports saying Cov are now signing Caleb Yirenkyi which could be a top signing for them. Think someone on here said we’d been watching him.

It's clear that we're looking for players at a higher level this time round.

To add. We have our more industrial platers in Matusiwa and Luis. We need a playmaker in midfield to compete with Nunez.
