| What to do with Jack Clarke.. 20:07 - Aug 9 with 4582 views | Wallingford_Boy | Keep him? Good option from bench? Sell him? Cash in and reinvest the cash? Probably the former for me, especially with Philogene likely to be off. | |

| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 21:29 - Aug 9 by have_a_word_with_him | People put way too much stock in pre-season. He was fantastic last season, try to remember that more than this warm-up stuff. |
Oh I remember which is why I make my opinion as we all do No doubting his performances last season but I do have my doubts ref being a premier league player coupled with the fact he hasn’t really shone in well known surroundings to him unlike many others have that’s all

Don't know enough about Lauriente to pass judgement. Tho my takeaways from one of his YouTube highlight reels are his pace and the openness of the defending (which Clarke might also have a field day with).

He’s strong and fast, takes full backs on at pace, completely different profile to Clarke in the press. Would be a dream one for us.

Absolute no brainier, keep him. One of our best players last season, fundamental to our promotion. Pre season is just a time to experiment and get up to speed re fitness. It matters little as to what happens when the season kicks off.

Maybe it’s just me , just think the quality we’re bringing in now highlights some inefficiencies Different player I admit to Fatawu but he gets me off my seat (theoretically obviously ) and all I see for the most is Jack running into players or being shrugged off the ball pulling his shorts up and correcting his Alice band for the most Truly hope I’m proven wrong if we keep him

As much as I hate agreeing with you…. I agree. And likewise, I’d like nothing more than for him to have a belter of a season!

| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 23:45 - Aug 9 with 704 views | itfcsuth | Sell. Talented boy, inconsistent but talented no doubt, just physically he’s nowhere near the level of Premier League football. I think we’d get good money from a top end Championship club, I can see him at a West Ham, Wolves, Sheffield Utd, Southampton. | | | |
| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 00:05 - Aug 10 with 693 views | WicklowBlue | I'm kinda in the fence with this one.... JC was great running at tired defences coming on late in games last season. Not sure he can be that affective in the EPL, I really like JC... but not confident he can make a difference driving back inside... Keep for me, for now unless we bring in others. | | | |

PL defences also tire. | |

| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 00:53 - Aug 10 with 631 views | armchaircritic59 | I think most would agree that both JC and JP weren't really good enough last time round, ( and I say that as a fan of JC ), so to be good enough this time round they will most certainly have to have improved. Only way we'll know if they have for sure is seeing them play in it. JP might not be here anyway, so in my opinion, either way, we need another wide left player. | | | |

JC being able to do what he did last season in the Championship last season, in my opinion, depends purely on his ability to compete physically. Him and Jaden were just brushed off the ball too easily last time, so if Jack's had a bit of time on the weights he should be okay.

Depends on who the part exchange is. For example, I'd rather Jack, than Fleetwood's Mac... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

And since posting this, I see there's been links to Boro so maybe GON is not sure too. He was also in the reserve squad v Oxford, rather than the 1st team v Wycombe, so maybe he is off. I said maybe, calm down you lot!!

Hutchinson was also not particularly effective in the PL for us and got only 2 assists to Clarke's 4, despite featuring much more than Clarke. I think that was mainly due to the fact that we didn't have throughout the team players of sufficient skill and strength to be able to compete but we seem now to be much stronger in that sense, so it seems to me that Clarke could play a part, especially late in games. Ultimately, it is a decision for O'Neil because maybe he does favour more physical players but it would be difficult to offload both Clarke and Philogene. [Post edited 10 Aug 9:32]

| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 09:21 - Aug 10 with 256 views | JammyDodgerrr | We would not be able to replace him with an equal player who could have an impact, in my view. It would be madness to sell him. He's such a different profile to our other attackers and it wouldn't surprise me if he's even better this season, than he was last season. | |

OOohh on that note, I wonder who our new penalty taker will be (assuming Philogene goes)? Doubt Clarke will be on the pitch so much if he does stay, so we'll need a new regular taker.

| What to do with Jack Clarke.. on 09:26 - Aug 10 with 243 views | dirtyboy | Not going to judge him too much in pre-season, but his performances when it mattered last season are enough for me. Maeda as a starter, a proper runner, and then Clarke coming on against a tired full back, always going to have a chance. He's fast, just not particularly strong. What I'd love. Really love. Is for him to rock up to the next game with a buzz cut and shorts like Glenn Hoddle. A proper fresh start. He's got skill in abundance, so no. Can't let him leave, unless Philogene is staying. Need different profiles for different games and Clarke and Philogene are completely different to Maeda. | | | |
