Been watching Burnley v Spammers and on today’s showing, I’m not sure I’d be interested in signing Zian Flemming as he is not much better than Hirst. Can’t score against the Spammers despite quite a few chances so would struggle against PL defences.

Josh Coburn would be better if we’re looking at Championship strikers but hoping we are looking at PL loan or international markets.

Poll: How many of yesterdays team will be in the team for the 1st game of next season?

Disagree, should have scored but he’s won everything in the air and clearly got the attributes. Colborn completely unproven in PL and Fleming just bagged 11 in a terrible team last year.

I very much hope that he is at least the late in the window plan b or c.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Yes, i'd rather take him on a seasons evidence than one game. He's a good player, annoyingly one we could have picked up from Millwall on our previous promotion for a lot cheaper.

28 now, gonna take £20m isn't it? Striker tax/desperation bumping that up a bit.

From the spot granted.

Just scored a pen now lol.

Yeah considering how much we spent that summer in the EFL, a bit ridiculous he wasn’t identified with his 16 goal contributions in 23/24.

He hit the post and had one off the line today, missed some chances but a real handful against what is obviously basically a lower PL team on paper. Seems up for a scrap as well.

Not a market I usually want to be in but wouldn’t be against signing their best 2 players from last year with all our other business more expansive.

Seems a very obvious one to add really doesn’t he with all the other stuff we’ve done from abroad etc I don’t hate it, especially while Emersonn gets up to speed.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

Burnley could have got a third there if they wanted. Time beyond the 5 added and they were farting around with it in WH's final third.

He scored 11 PL goals last year in a poor side and was their best player (probably along with Florentino).

Rookie error. NEVER go early

I’ve no idea how he’d get on against PL defences btw. I’d rather we bust our gut trying to get a top level proven goal scorer who also fits what GON is trying to do, but realise that is a lot easier said than done. In the PL a quality number 9 (or lack of) can make or break a team.

He played prem defences last season and scored 11 goals for a terrible team and is always a handful at any level.

Broja wanted to but otherwise yeah they'd completely settled for a point. Infuriating.

So you rate a player on one appearance then? Didn't struggle against PL defenders last season in a relegated side. Best to look at overall performances than one match in total isolation. Not saying he's our ticket to PL salvation but I am saying he's a decent front man. I could if I was so inclined pick out one display by any one player and make them look great or useless in turn.
