I'd gloss over the town of Ipswich itself and take them somewhere nice like Woodbridge, Aldeburgh or Southwold. Sell them the Suffolk rural life. Nice big country house. Lovely stuff. Ipswich is only the place he has to endure a few hours a day for work purposes, but at least it'll be in the shiny new training centre. |  |

To be fair it only becomes a tough sell if there are other clubs also interested. If Town is the only club (as appears) then I'm sure it will come down to 1, which league we're in 2, how much the player will earn 3, how much will his agent earn from the deal.
Obviously don't take him into the Town centre until after he signs on the dotted line, doing that would scupper the deal. | | | |

Agree. Can't stand people talking the town down.
As for the house; Suffolk is filled with nice houses in the country. I doubt he will have too much trouble.

No idea where he grew up but a rural setting in Suffolk might be his idea of hell.
There's a Tevez anecdote about being put up in a big country estate when he arrived at West Ham and hating it being so quiet and different to what he was used to in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. Not sure how true that is though as he later chose to live in Cheshire.

Ipswich is no different to every other town and city up and down the country, centre's been hollowed out, shopping habits changing and local councils don't know what to do.
Obviously you have outliners like Bury and Bath, but even York, empty shops in the Shambles. | |
