Ashton puts a cuppa in your hand and shows you the new training ground and the carpet at Portman Road where you could ply your trade. Thing is, you're a multi-millionaire footballer and have 'needs', so the final piece of the jigsaw, to get the deal over the line is.... 1 What house do you suggest, on the vague possibility the Whitton ain't gonna cut it? 2 Where do you grab a bite to eat, does Lucky's Coffee Shop or the Cricketers hit the spot?

If he wants culture, he should drive back towards Haverhill. Buy 3 adjoining house's on the Chalkstone Estate and 'knock through' in order to form 1 super house. #Living the dream

Just cause ye a stranger to culture J2 doesnt mean the Argie doesn't appreciate the finer things in life. If he doesnt fancy the dream of a Chalkstone triple house then possibly 1 of the old merchants mansions around the marina or a period townhouse in the Latin quater would suit him

I hadn't realised that was still on the market - I thought they'd decided against moving after all.

My old girl had lived on Hawthorn Drive since 1956, same house, Gran further up, lived in from brand new in 54’ till her passing. Did very well for my growing up. Tell us your issue. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

At least in Suffolk his millions will still be worth millions in 12 months. Over there he’d be getting his money out in a wheel barrow to pay for a cup of coffee after their bi-annual financial crisis. |
Buenos Aires has some very flashy suburbs. Probably even nicer that Chantry.

Having experienced how bourgeois Bonaerenses live in their fancy suburbs, personally I'd take my chances in Chantry. My ex's family were so terrified of violent crime that their posh neighbourhood had gates, walls, armed security and as soon as they drove out of the gate they immediately started looking over their shoulders at traffic lights in case someone carjacked them. Hanging out with posh Argentinians in Buenos Aires was the best argument I have ever seen for how high taxes, low inequality and a comprehensive welfare state improves the lives of rich people in ways that keeping more of your money just doesn't.

Doesnt help that Alan Brazil was talking to Ally Mcoist this morning on Talk Sport about how Ipswich has been voted the 5th least friendly town in the UK and how his kids dont step foot in Ipswich anymore! There are far worse places to live than Suffolk and lets be honest , the players wont be stepping foot in Ipswich Town centre until they secure a European spot and celebrate on the balcony at Isaacs! ;)

| You're a WC winner, on £120k a week.... on 14:03 - Aug 18 by MattinLondon | It seems to be fashionable to knock Ipswich - especially so if you happen to live in Suffolk but not in the town. Or, if you’ve never lived anywhere else apart from Ipswich. Like everywhere, there’s good bits and bad bits. |
Interestingly, I've received in E mails very recently, free articles from both the Guardian and the Independent, about one of the journalists from each outlet visiting the town " on assignment ". They both praised it highly. - [Post edited 20 Aug 0:13]
