Here are his stats from the past three years:
Angers - Ligue 1, France - 33 games, 4 goals
Fenerbahce - Super Lig, Turkey - 12 game, 2 goals
I kind of put him in the same bracket as Caleb Yirenkyi - looks a promising talent, but as yet unproven. We have one of those already in Sindre Walle Egeli.

We are all in the same boat (promoted sides) taking punts on promising players for circa £20m who have some of the attributes to be top players and some attributes to work on or not yet proven eg Emmersonn. We have managed to sign some experience in Diop and Lukic which is a big bonus. |  |

Simms didn’t get a kick against us in 2 games last season. There’s better defences than out in the Premier League and we shit them out comfortably.
I think Awoniyi is a good signing but don’t see enough from the other players in attack last season to make me think they’ll make step up.

Because they're the excited teenagers ready to embrace the Brave New World whilst we're the tired old grandparents who have already gone through it and know what's coming. We were probably the same two years ago, thinking the likes of Cajuste, Philogene, Clarke, Szmodics and Delap would make us competitive. We know better. We know what the performances between us and Coventry actually means, whilst they're dismissing them, much like we dismissed us against Leeds during the summer of 2024.
Maybe they have been shrewd. Maybe they will stay up. The best thing for the division will be if all three promoted clubs survive. But it seems a reach for all three of us. I do not quite understand the pundits approach thinking they have the best chance, all things considered, due to their lack of top flight experience. But I get why the fans are behaving as they are. | |

It’s weird isn’t it. It may be different people who keep bringing them up, but collectively it makes us look as obsessive as some people are accusing them of being about us. If Coventry fans want to get excited over one of their signings it’s got nothing to do with us.
As for the player himself, he could end up being quite a purchase. I don’t know a lot about him but he seems a bit of a handful and suited to the physicality of the PL. He may not be ready yet for the PL (just based on age and moving to a new league) but he should have good resale value even if they go down. |  |

Quite, let them enjoy it. They've waited a long time to back in the premier league, they've been in L1 more recently than the prem. They outpaced parachute clubs last season somewhat against the odds to get there. Not dissimilar to us 2 years ago.
No idea why people are so resentful of their fans enjoying it and being optimistic for the season ahead. They might well get a reality check soon, but who cares. Its football, a bit of escapism from a world that's increasingly shit for a lot of people. Let them have their moment. |  | | |

Would be great if all 3 of the promoted teams managed to stay up. I think you'd get some pretty tasty odds at the bookies for that! After last season as well I think that would kick " the PL is a closed shop " theory well into touch, even 2 staying up again might do it. Here's hoping! |  | | |
