Or are these wing nuts just calling anyone who disagrees with them Antifa (which would be quite a self-own)?

antifa is more of an american thing; when people use this or "dei", you know where they're getting their news and beliefs from

Anti-Nazi League and Anti-Fascist Action could both be consider British "antifa". Their activism (disrupting meetings, demonstrations, beating up their members) is likely one of the reasons why we got a relative decline in organised Neo-Nazi skinheads beating up (and sometimes murdering) minorities as we got into the 1990s, something they used to do fairly regularly in the late '70s and early '80s. The absence of people willing and able to do such things might explain why we've got a plague of these odious pr1cks now. [Post edited 11 Sep 12:00]

I'm my honest opinion, the C4 program was really poorly put together. Left himself wide open to be criticized around the depths of the digging he went into. Of course if you dislike TR then it wont matter as it'll appear to be a "gotcha" moment. From a neutral ground, with no foot in either camp, I just thought it was a waste of time.

What I am is sensible. I wont watch dispatches and think "ha, they got you!" But at the same time I'm fully aware that TR has made some very questionable decisions in his life.

“Questionable”. That’s a bit of an understatement. Cor blimey. I don’t know why anyone would give him the time of day. Anyone can make a mistake and deserves a second chance, but he’s not that. He’s just a career criminal who for some reason has attained celebrity status. It makes no sense to me. He’s a mouthpiece of Musk and Putin these days anyway, standing against the UK. That tells anyone all they need to know about him.

I don't "have" to be either side its evident what that does to people. Only need to look at the shots fired on here on a daily basis [Post edited 11 Sep 17:14]

When it comes to the likes of Stephen Yaxley, you do have to be on a side. Not condemning his rhetoric and behaviour is tacit support for bigotry and fascism. Which makes you part of the problem.

good job our parents and grandparents decided they had to be on one side or the other with hitler! you can't appease people like yaxley-lennon, you have to oppose them [Post edited 11 Sep 17:58]

Fair enough if that's your position, but that can only mean that you have on occasion agreed with him. Without having a side, that's the only logical conclusion. Otherwise you would denounce him and his preachings. Maybe it isn't that simple. It is to me but I'd love to hear how it is somehow more nuanced.

Closer to home, I suppose the question is what side would you have been on during the Battle of Cable Street? [Post edited 11 Sep 18:19]
