Could we see Kieran McKenna return … 14:17 - Sep 11 with 2763 viewsringwoodblue

to management with Leicester City if/when Russell Martin gets sacked?

Obvious draw for Kieran would be to be reunited with Wes and Chappers and they need a manager who can get them back-to-back promotions like he did for us.

I can definitely see this one happening.

Doubt he’d lower himself to that level- he doesn’t need to now.

Once his year is up I doubt he would want to return in League 2!

Do you think reuniting with Wes and Chappers is the top of his priorities? In L1? With a basket case club? I'd stay well clear.

Would have thought he'd be using the last promotion as a springboard to a mid-table PL job.

Not in a million years.

He'll go to a lower premier league team or Celtic. My money is on the latter.

Wes and Chappers under McKenna were at their peak and unfortunately won't ever get to those heights again, under whichever manager.

Why you think McKeena would return from a break to a basket case of a club two levels below where he has had job offers is beyond me. It's been well documented their probelms go way deeper than the manager, although admittedly appointing Russell Martin was pobably top of the list of disastrous things a football club could do.

He turned down Palace, and maybe Chelsea and Brentford?

I can't, therefore, see him taking on Leicester.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I doubt Chaplin is a draw for him, he showed him the door at PR. The ownersip would need changing also. King Power have had their day there.

I’d have thought he’s done enough for a PL club to take him on. That pretty hapless relegation the only back mark, which may put some off.

I think he'll go to Celtic when Martyn O Neill retires at end of season, win a bit with them, hopefully for him do better in Europe, go to a top tier club in Prem

Perhaps he will go to Belfast and manage Glentoran.

Perhaps he will walk The Coast to Coast Path in flip flops.

Perhaps he will buy The Swan and re-fit it as a wild west saloon.

Perhaps he will become the prime investor in Snoasis and finally get it off the ground.

Or become a driver on the Ipswich underground.

All very improbable but still more likely than accepting a job offer from Leicester.

So you think he IS coming back to Portman Road in a couple or three seasons' time?

Whilst McKenna I'm sure could do with a rest and will have really enjoyed it. He's left us because he's extremely ambitious and career wise his best move to get a big club move was to leave. He had more than earnt that right and that rest.

His next move will be a Brighton, Spurs, Newcastle type move. That will be the plan at least.

He is going near a Leicester.
