Favourite non-Town goal 16:40 - Sep 24 with 3832 viewsPhilTWTD

This just came up and think it's certainly up there with one of my favourite goals scored by a player not with Town.

Always loved this, and you could offer up a good few more of his as well:

I showed the boy some bergkamp and le tiss reels recently and he was blown away.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Hoddle was superb. He scored some cracking volleys.

Can I have this, even though he did play for us?

I was gonna go with this if he hadn’t scored that one against Argentina at the World Cup.

He scored the nearest I've seen to that Hoddle goal for us against Crewe.

Presumably this thread will be largely made up of Matt Le Tissier clips but here are some alternatives

This game had two fantastic goals (Euro 88 final) -

And while this wasn't during the 90 minutes it's the best penalty ever (at 1:33)

Man that was a freezing cold afternoon and a thoroughly turgid second half.

My other favourite Glenn Hoddle goal, which I didn't realise was his last for Spurs.

Obviously people remember this goal, but I watched a montage of his goals a few months back, and like you say he just whacks everything 😂

Never thought this goal got the plaudits it deserved, particularly compared to the (also beautiful) Di Canio volley v Wimbledon.

Harry Kane v Germany in Euro 2021. The best atmosphere there's ever been in the 'new' Wembley stadium even with a reduced capacity.

Better than Hoddle’s. That first touch was sublime.

And I might as well post this one now, as it’ll make the shortlist.

That Yeboah one is the one for me. The sort of goal you only ever 'saw' in Roy of The Rovers.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

One for the trophy cabinet ?

Look East creamed their pants about this goal as, apparently, only the Nodge could draw this type of skill out of a player...
