| We didn't deserve to win on 21:52 - Oct 10 with 2194 views | meekreech | We did because we scored more goals than them . Whether our performance was better or worse is irrelevant because if you don’t use your possession to your benefit then you cannot expect to win . I would much rather accept a win with less possession than a draw or loss with majority of possession ( as demonstrated by Leicester City) through trying to play the wrong style. | |

| We didn't deserve to win on 22:07 - Oct 10 with 2064 views | DarkBrandon | I didn’t think we deserved to win either fwiw. Fulham had the better chances, and worked Walton more than we worked their keeper. That said O’Neill’s observation that they seemed to tire seems true, and that is a big problem for them. You can’t run out of steam in the PL and expect to win many games. | | | |
| We didn't deserve to win on 22:17 - Oct 10 with 1989 views | WicklowBlue | Not down voting this.. but at time during the game I would kinda off agree. At times we we were sloppy in passing and second to the ball. Hold up play at times was challenging and not sure Emersson had his best game. However GON went for it all out... Pala made a big difference in the middle of the park and freed up Lukic too as he started to run into free spaces and pass the ball. Throughout 75mins it looked like a draw was the fair outcome but we dominated the ball in the last 15 mins deservedly equalised and the momentum was only going one way from then. The commentary I was listening to was calling out physicallity versus our squad against Fulhams. Including our subs, while Fulham were introducing younger skilled players we had Fleming, Diop, Akpom etc. We deserved to win the game once we got into our stride. | | | |
| We didn't deserve to win on 22:24 - Oct 10 with 1941 views | Suffolktractor | Sorry but we definitely did deserve to win this game. Fulham didn’t cause us too many problems, but scored a very good goal. They sat deep and defended well, which we struggled to overcome, but once Ouatarra scored his wonder goal there was only one winner. Our bench was the difference, all that came on made a huge difference. I can’t believe we have someone as good as Palacios playing for us. | | | |
| We didn't deserve to win on 22:29 - Oct 10 with 1904 views | unstableblue | Not sure your post deserves any downvotes MS! And Fulham without doubt bossed the game for 40mins up to their goal (following our spell form 5 to 15mins). And Bobb’s chance on 59 is golden to take it to 2-0, but he blasts over. Yet I think the way Town grabbed the game once Palacios was introduced with Clarke, following the great Emersonn chance. And then just came at Fulham for 35mins in waves. Well that ends up meaning we were so in the ascendency that no way Fulham deserved three points. Whether a point was fair is up for debate. But hats off to Town, the way they went for the second for me, well we deserved the 3 points. And to finish our managers subs and game changes were better than their managers!! | |

More passes in the opposition’s half, more accurate long balls, more touches in the opposition’s penalty area and more blocks. We were generally defensively solid (which is good to see after earlier games). They edged xG but we had a much higher xGOT. Overall the result reflected the stats, whatever people think they saw.

Disagree Fulham were crap imo. Walton had no chance with the goal too many bodies in the way. They didn’t offer much other than that. Otherwise it was 50/50 and we showed much more heart. I’d say the crowd got us over the line tbh. I think we’ll take plenty of points of these kind of teams this year (as we have so far)

What is xGOT? I’m not saying we were terrible, or that Fulham dominated for 90 minutes. But if Fulham had headed the free kick away rather than O’Shea putting it in, I think most people would have said that a draw was a fair result, rather than it being a game we should have won.

xGOT is expected goals on target, and generally a much better indicator than xG, that just measures the goal chance based on players’ positions relative to the opportunity. xGOT adds the element of the player actually taking advantage of that position / opportunity.

Other than a speculative shit by Fulhzm thst snuk padt Walton, whst ekse did they offer against us? We hit the post. Had a penalty denied us. Changed formation and took.the game to them in that last 15 mins and bloody well won, for showing that never say due attitude and determination ( Shout out to Akpom as just one example!). O'Shea's header was sheer determination to get to thst ball first. We deserved all 3 points. Fulham? Relegation zone...

If you're going to do ifs and buts about our winner, then people can do ifs and buts about any other aspect of the game (i.e. IF Emersonn scored his header rather than hit the post). Just be happy with a win, probably.

| We didn't deserve to win on 08:05 - Oct 11 with 993 views | Blue_Heath | A draw was probably a fair result on the balance of chances for each side. That said, at the end a combination of Fulham sitting back and us attacking you could argue we deserved the win. 6 games, 9 points is a great return but 3 injury time goals will not keep happening, we need to try and win a game in the 90. | |

| We didn't deserve to win on 12:16 - Oct 12 with 519 views | Freddies_Ears | Fulham have lost a few games in the final minutes. Even 2 seasons ago, we had more energy than them in the last 15 minutes. GO'N will have planned for us to be stronger late on, hence his subs. Palacios ensured the game was mostly played in their half, Akpom drew foul after foul, our equaliser was like their goal but a bit better, our winner was from a perfect ball in by the impressive Clarke... it didn't happen by accident. | | | |

A "speculative shit" isn't often a good idea, unless you know it's going to count and you're well positioned for it to happen.
