| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? 12:32 - Oct 18 with 2826 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Apologies if it's been discussed... I've only seen the highlights once on MOTD, but does Haaland pull back Outtara's shoulder in order to get past him? | |

| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 12:39 - Oct 18 with 2347 views | ITFC_Forever | Possibly, and it explains why Ouattara can’t sort his feet out to kick the ball away. But there’s no way that gets given, especially against Haaland at the Etihad…. We’d be pretty annoyed if that was given against us. | |

| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 12:42 - Oct 18 with 2294 views | FrimleyBlue | Looked at it closely. Haaland i think was seconds away from giving away a foul. He defo has hand on shoulder but its so quickly taken away i think the judgement is outtara falls over. I think if that hands stays there as he falls.. it would have possibly been giving as a freekick.. altho it was at man city so prob not lol. | |

| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 12:43 - Oct 18 with 2315 views | bsw72 | Not in my opinion, Haaland was just stronger and Outtara is already off balance before any touch from him. The measure from me is how I would feel if it were the other way round and the goal was chalked off, and in this case I would be fuming. | | | |
| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 14:17 - Oct 18 with 2101 views | mellowblue | Thought he was just out-muscled at the time. The hand on shoulder looked more of a steadying thing for Haaland. He knew he had Ouattara on toast. He really is a unique footballing specimen. | | | |
| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 15:02 - Oct 18 with 1999 views | _CliveBaker_ | Objectively speaking I would hate for goals like that to be chalked off. It’s a contact sport, I think forwards have every right to be a bit physical. Looked like Ouattara had the opportunity to wrap his right foot through it on first viewing, but one he’ll learn from. Just good forward play by the best #9 on the planet for me. | | | |
| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 15:07 - Oct 18 with 1973 views | Dubtractor | I suspect VAR had a look at it, but being honest I think it was a level of physicality that ought to be allowable. Though if the roles were reversed, and a defender made that contact on an attacker in the penalty box, it would be given as a spot kick more often than not. | |

| Man City's third goal - foul by Haaland? on 15:39 - Oct 18 with 1884 views | Vic | I thought it was a foul. But in reality, as others have said, Hartland is just a freak and was too strong for Outarra. I think, from seeing how much better we did in the 2nd half, a lot of pur players learnt a lot in that game, | |

I’d agree with this. It would’ve been exceptionally soft. I think if it was Diop or O’Shea in that position, they might’ve used their body more effectively.

Spot on from all the angles I've seen. AO was actually in front of him, but with Haaland that doesn't matter. Then AO somehow getting his legs and feet to have a disagreement with each other sealed the deal.

Hard to tell how much force there was in the pull, but he certainly laid a big paw on his shoulder which can't have been completely inconsequential.

My guilty/not guilty verdicts are based on nothing other than the spelling of Ouattara.

You don’t have to confess anything. In checking the spelling you invested the correct amount of respect for him as a Town player. The people who continue to get it wrong are almost certainly pronouncing it wrong too: It’s /wattara/. Those that can’t be bothered to get his name right (dyslexics partially excluded) might as well call him “the young, black lad from Strasbourg“. [Post edited 19 Oct 8:08]

I have no problem with it I thought Outtarra did well to get back and get in front of Haaland and made it more difficult for EH than he might have been expecting. haaland is an exceptional talent though , it's really difficult to stop him

I think it's a foul, but it will never be given against Haaland. It was a double grab pull back from behind and above. Halland virtually pulled him down. If any defender had done that it would be a penalty. Their is a real bias in all facets of the referees and linesman. How many times did the linesman raise his offside flag, when we were clearly onside. Once is a mistake, after that it's something else and it needs to stop. Some officials should not be paid and dropped for a few months, maybe they will take it seriously then.
