Probably.
I took it as a satirical comment on creeping fascism or at the very least our fashion of putting the economy as the end goal rather than focusing more on the people it's meant to benefit.
But "Arbeit Macht Frei" isn't exactly where you want to go with satire. Seems gratuitous to bring it in and risks being taken like Jones and others took it. But that's typical of Mendoza who likes to provoke too much especially now when she should be backtracking and apologising for the offence, however intentional or unintentional it was. | |

Jones’ YouTube interviews from 2015-17 were actually quite good. Sure, he’s annoying but there was some decent content in there, as well as interviewing left wingers, there were also features with Rees Mogg, Hannan and Carswell so it wasn’t just a leftie love in.
He seemed to really go down the route of defending the indefensible for a while, but I don’t think he’s anyway near as bad as Williamson, Mendoza etc | |

Embarrassing that Williamson was ever allowed into the party, let alone an MP.
I was reading a bit about him recently, apparently during his time as Derby Council leader he was relatively normal, and continued this during his first term in Parliament. He just turned into a complete conspiracy theorist nutjob when he won his seat back in 2017.
Guess it’s a similar situation to those on the far right, that you can get far more attention for being a racist loudmouth than you can for being decent. | |
