My thoughts are that the takeover was in play, but had gone off the table and Cook was working under the assumption that Marcus was his boss, and they had started planning. He has been kept in dark and it’s blind sided him and damaged relationship with Marcus and new ownership.
Critically- Paul does not know yet who his new boss is with no CEO?! Must be hugely unsettling | |

hilariously knew it would get dumped at Evans door as always, why does Cook care who is in charge of the club if they pay him, and we all believe he will end up with more money to spend in the transfer window.
his exciting things are happening in the summer cant have been based on Evans running the club still.
