Can hit a ball

First one was some finish, not an easy technique either.

I'm more excited about Evans than I have been about any signings for donkeys. Think he could really be the heartbeat in the middle that we've lacked.

Yes I agree. He looks like our best attacking midfielder, and possibly captain, since Matt Holland.

That first goal is the best goal I have seen in a bloody long time.

Using my brain and my eyes - and what I’ve read about his style of play.
I’m guessing that you know different to my suggestion?

How come he only seemed to play nine times last season? Was he injured?

EDIT: Realised I got this wrong, he played over 20 games, my mistake.
Believe he did have a knee op at the end of last year though.

Yeah, knee injury. Hopefully he's over that.

Chill Winston.

Thats a pretty bold claim on something you read that's all. Be interesting to see how it goes.

That first goal is an outrageous technique.

2x promotion winning campaigner being brought into the side.

Successful experience, not abject mediocre experience, success, there’s a big difference.

While I wouldn't exactly call him an attacking midfielder, he shoots a hell of a lot more than any midfielder we've had in years. He was taking almost 2 shots a game for Wigan last year. They are almost entirely from range though, he hasn't really been a guy who is operating in/around the area.

For Wigan at least, very much a deeper lying type who maybe looks more attacking because he likes to have a crack. Either way, he and Burns both like to test keepers, something we sorely lack.

Two very good signings at this level (if Evans goes over the line).

We're probably quite an attractive prospect at the moment; new owners, big interest from a global market because of the Ed Sheeren sponsorship and a manager who has done pretty well at this level.

More excitement to come for sure!

On a side note, everything about the club seems to have become more cared for. The owners are participating and things like the player interviews and kit announcements just look 'better' than they have done. It looks like more care is being put into every aspect of the club which is very positive.

17 goals in 235 appearances, so I imagine this'll be a rare treat sort of thing rather than a regular occurrence
