Apart from the dismantling of Marcus Evans paraphernalia are there any signs that the stadium is being tarted up/repaired? Any grumblings of improved catering facilities/quality and those sorts of things? Any moves to improve the pitch surface and so on?

There's that lot for a starter.

The pitch was also relaid earlier in the year. Not the full job that is needed, so far as i know, but resurfaced.

Pitch works were being targetted for next summer, not a cheap process and will also include moving the dugouts etc.

The exposed girders under the north stand have had a rub down and a lick of paint.

Not the first thing to have a 'rub down' under the North Stand i'd hazard a guess

Did you not see Ashtons interview going into quite a lot of detail aboit thier plans.

The pitch is one of the high priorities, bit its too late to do anything now so big changes end of the season.

Have a look, its worth a listen.

Rust probably judging by the state of the steelwork.

Actually, I think there has been some work done to at least paint bits at the back of SBR this Summer.

We were told they’ll be cleaning “every seat, all terracing, windows and roofs” and repainting every yellow line on the stairs and gangways.

As long as they don't freeze the GK, not all beer needs to be kept cold, sometimes simply cool will do

It’s covers the wind flaps that go right along, which I’m glad of being on the back row.

I think they take it down sometimes to allow air to circulate for the pitch.

That's what they were put there for. When I sat at the back we tried to take the tarpaulin down on a hot day so we could get some breeze and got told off by stewards.
