Totally far fetched but could Andy Carroll be the Didier Drogba @ Phoenix end of career talisman marquee signing?

No thanks. Rather we talked Grant Holt out of retirement.

Would have loved to have seen us get him on some type of sharpen him up and get some of Mick's fatherly comfort / sharp words if he didn't behave type of short term loan five years ago but he is almost certainly too crocked now.

I dont disagree with any of the comments and also acknowledge its not an area of the field we actually need to cover but as the general theme of the responses are "no way he is too inury prone" etc, out of curiosity is that not likely the feedback we would have given Sheff Utd about McGoldrick and look what happened there....

I don't think so.... I didn't want to see DMG go even though his injury record wasn't great....think we all felt some mismanagement on the club's side there.

Also DMG did play somw games as opposed to Carrol who has been Chronically injured for years and his about as mobile as a hippo on a pogo stick.

One of those, if we can just get him fit signings who never is.

Be interested to see if any club takes a punt on him though

If we could throw in a ceiling-mounted mirror for his new Ipswich-based property, I'm sure he'd be tempted. Alas, I don't think many of us would.

I think it's more likely that Didier Drogba is the Didier Drogba type marquee signing.

He’s tall enough to be the central pole of a marquees, but suspect he’s legs wouldn’t be up to it, given they’re up to precious little else.

I’d rather get Ray Crawford back. Better player and would play more games. He’s only 85.
