I am familiar with the work of Mr Matterson, but of the other fellow with the unfortunate name, I know frightfully little.
In terms of the punditry, Sir Terrence, Lord of Butchery is of course well-known to all. With the other chap I am unfamiliar, although I did know a rather large, toupee-wearing gentleman, prone to perspiration, of the same name who worked at Coutts. I doubt that this is the same wig sweaty banker though. |  |

We have Lee Dixon as a pundit on the prem coverage over here. He’s not very good if you want any kind of analysis. He’s more your Mathie-style bloke in the pub obviousness with a few jokey blokey anecdotes thrown in. |  |

For the big games they used to have Dixon and Graham Le Saux, but Dixon seems to be used less and less. Le Saux is excellent; smart and insightful.
I can’t be doing with Micah Richards. Don’t mind Carragher but I’m sure we’ve all had days when you want to strangle people with scouse accents. Just a bit much some days | |

Sam Matterface is a dreadful commentator. He's far too descriptive for TV, we can see what's happening mate, add a bit of theatre. Perhaps it's because he came into it via radio that his style is such, but compared to Clive he's such a poor alternative. Really bad decision from ITV to switch him on England games. Clive and Ally are miles better than these 2 herberts. |  |
