Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 10:08 - Mar 11 with 2044 views | GlasgowBlue | Same up here. Something like a 25% increase in cases week on week for the last couple of weeks. And we don’t end mandatory mask wearing for another fortnight. Think I’ll keep hold of mine.

Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 11:07 - Mar 11 with 1881 views | Lord_Lucan | I posted this the other day, due to the fact my daughter and her tribe have moved back in while they renovate their new house we have 8 (EIGHT) in Lucan Towers - 6 of whom have Covid. Everyone is getting on with life just fine by all accounts with just a few aches. (I'm in my Norwich bunker atm) I think this is a good thing as it happens, if everyone is getting it - and getting over it then we are all going to be antibodied up to the hilt - aren't we?

Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 11:13 - Mar 11 with 1854 views | itfcjoe | My eldest has it, I know of at least 2 in his class that do, but he's not been in all week and is out of isolation tomorrow ready for the football. Was just sick with a high temperature last Saturday, and slept in on Sunday and Monday but been totally fine other than that

Not necessarily so, my grandson has just tested positive for the second time within three months.......

Fair point, maybe they will start jabbing the kids. At least it seems quite mild though. Mother had it last month and she is on the "At risk" hit list but she had a mild cough and a bit of an ache and she cleared up in three or four days.

After we'd reported it on Sunday we had the 'confirmed case in your class' email on ParentLink for the first time ever - I know one of the other reception classes had it earlier int he year. Hopefully we as a family are done now for a bit at least as now all had it!

Apparently, you're more likely to die from flu than Omicron, it's that weak. But as long as schools and medical settings insist on isolation measures etc. the country will continue to be chaos.

a school around where i live insisted that a teacher with Covid went into school to teach children. That's absolutely bonkers and the head teacher should be sacked on the spot for that stance. The teacher was too poorly to go in and refused to go in anyway but still. If my child was in that class, i would be so angry, it's not just them it's grandparent, us as parents.
Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 12:09 - Mar 11 with 1589 views | hype313 | It's absolutely rife in Ipswich, we all had it the week before last, all my neighbours have it, thankfully everyone is fine and bar a few days of roughness it wasn't too bad. Although since testing negative I then got a normal cold on top.

It knocked me out for 3 weeks, luckily just one night was scary with breathing problems. I'd hate to have had it without the benefit of vaccines. My mum is in a care home, and they have been closed to visitors for some weeks due to cases in staff and now residents too. Hospital numbers are on the way up again, still over 100 deaths a day. This isn't over, and the vulnerable are, well, vulnerable.
Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 12:45 - Mar 11 with 1492 views | ellerblue | Same here in Germany , yesterdays figure 252,000 new cases and 249 deaths and rules being relaxed and crowds returning to football. 38,500 allowed for Fortuna next home game, although this weekends match is probably off as 14 players and staff have tested positive.

My niece is a teacher and has it - school said that if she felt OK she could go into school. I was surprised, but reality seems to be that Omicron is less dangerous than flu so I guess we have to get used to it and start to carry on.

I read the same this morning. If you catch Omicron then it's no biggy. As I sit here with a sore throat, headache and a wheezy cough I feel so much better knowing what I'm experiencing is no biggy. I was a miserable git b4 I caught this bug so you can imagine what I'm like now.

Well, Covid cases are going through the roof here on 14:13 - Mar 11 with 1224 views | Vaughan8 | Surely this was bound to happy due to no legal requirement to stay at home even if you have covid? Anyone with an ounce of decency would stay at home if they knowingly had covid but some people dont. I'm sure many people consider that to be "Covid is gone". What happens in April when there are no free lateral flow test anymore? How is anyone going to know they have it. Basically, we're all going to get it. To be fair, I had it a few months ago and had no symptoms really. I only knew because of LFTs. However other people could react differently (badly).
