Port Vale have signed an old itfc striker then on 12:54 - Aug 11 with 2588 views | ArnieM | He’s such a nice down to earth fella. I sat chatting to him in the stand sat at the Forest away game . I think he moved on not long after that to Pompey? But as you say appears to have struggled to make a niche for himself. Good luck at Vale.

err hardly. Was at Brizzle Rovers for 7 years and Pompey for three years. He's 28 and this will be his fifth club. [Post edited 11 Aug 2022 13:02]

Club was miles too big for him. He was literally dancing around the tables at the end of season dinner after we got relegated - it was if we'd just won the cup. Bubbly bloke etc but didn't have a clue.

Look at you showing off with your facts! I stand corrected although technical he’s had two clubs in the last two days so trending more to my six month average :-)

In all fairness, the supporters had just spent the season applauding him and his colleagues all the way to relegation, so I can see why he was confused. [Post edited 12 Aug 2022 7:12]

Was seen as a bit of a pain in the arse if I remember rightly, bit disruptive.
Port Vale have signed an old itfc striker then on 13:59 - Aug 11 with 1956 views | clive_baker | He's a bit pants, I did try warning people when we signed him but I got pelters on here. I used to coach at Bristol Rovers when he was there, from what I heard from a couple of people that still worked there when we bought him they couldn't believe we were prepared to pay them £750k. He was a bit of a knob too, but he was young so maybe he's grown up a bit. His girfriend was lovely though, I met her a few times. Not sure if they're still together.

But my abiding memory of him is coming over to the away support at Accrington in our cup defeat and looking like he was terrified to be there.

Rather like all of Paul Hurst's singings. He was like a kid in the sweet shop & the selling clubs saw him coming. Harrison £750k Donacien £750k. Now looks decent after some wilderness years but still absurdly over-priced. Edwards £700k. Looked the best of Hurst's buys initially (which isn't saying much). Was frustratingly inconsistent but played 30 league games for promoted Wigan last season. Jackson £1.6m. A league 1 squad player. Again, a poor buy. Nolan & Nsiala £2m. Nolan never looked good enough & then became a sick note. Subsequently failed to make the grade at Bristol Rovers & now struggling at Tranmere. Nsiala probably got more stick than he deserved because of his high profile errors, but was no more than an average League 1 stopper centre half.

Weren't you also seen as a pain in the arse and disruptive by Lambert? Is there any truth in this one?

Donacien "now looks decent". On the very few occasions where we played him properly (which does not include P.L. "he's a centre halF) I always thought he looked decent, but was shabbily used. Certainly his bombing forward is not something he showed earlier on, but that was in set-ups where nobody showed for anything much. Can't imagine that it's all down to good coaching that we now find that if an opposing forward were bursting through the player we'd hope/expect to snuff it out is J.D. As with Pigott so many seem to want to be the first to bang down the gavil of : verdict - useless.

When you see it like that and realise that we spent £4.35m on Harrison, Jackson, Nolan and Nsiala it's actually ridiculous. You have to laugh really.

I don't know if I'd have been able to handle the level of Improved Match Day Experience that was on offer that season.
