Hard to find an obvious and doable target in the Prem, not that we necessarily do obvious these days. Lyle Taylor perhaps the most glaringly available, experienced centre-forward who could strengthen us. Someone like Shoretire would be an intriguing wild card but many will be in. But looking up and down the leagues I'm struggling a bit for inspiration unless we can attract someone in the second or third tiers who is currently playing for their side. |  |

Bonne was an unused sub on Saturday & wasn't in the previous 2 squads so yeah, he isn't getting much game time. His contract's up in the summer so you would think QPR would want to sell him for a fee or keep him as a squad player. | |

I agree with you on this. Ok he’s often offside , but surely that’s a coaching thing that could be sorted? He puts himself about and is aggressive in closing down defenders ( Ladapo not so much, in my humble view). I wouldn’t be upset if he returned . I think we are also possibly looking for a goal scoring midfielder. Think “roles” not position as McKenna would say. |  |

I'm only expecting a loan striker.
It would be great if we could get two really good signings in as a statement of intent. I'm sure it will be more exciting than most deadline days under Evans with players needed and Phil putting up the 'Quiet Day Expected At Portman Road' story followed by MM saying we will look at loans. |  |

I didn't mention anything about Goals.
Bonne constantly gave freekicks away from needless offsides, he doesn't stretch defenders as much as a ladapo does which opens up space for the 10's in our system.
He just didn't seem to do what was needed from a KM striker. | |

The team is scoring goals. We don't get extra points for striker goals.
If we're getting results and scoring goals I don't see the problem. Harness and Chaplin each have three. Some people would be much happier if they both had zero and Ladapo had six. I don't get it. | |

Unlike when we sold Murphy and then didn't replace him either in August or January, despite it being the obvious and logical thing to do to everyone (another ME masterclass), this time we have some belief that those in charge actually know what they are doing.
I would also say we are well-covered in the squad for most positions.... We definitely need another senior striker and the next priority after that would be CM (but Ball and Humphreys can play there, and also Aluko and Keogh at a push). |  |
