First time I do disagree with KM aftergame words 15:37 - Sep 25 with 2309 viewsFrimleyBlue

"Of course when you concede goals after that it's easy to look back, but I thought we actually had even more ascendency between those changes and the goal. I thought those fresh legs (Kane Vincent-Young and Tyreece John-Jules) helped us and we looked a big threat."

We literally lost any control of the game at that point, we got it back when Ahadme and Edwards came on and Jackson went back out wide.

I'd agree with him - we were the better side up until their equaliser. We then collapsed. The goal was the gamechanger which is why I asked whether we have a mentality problem.

Sometimes places more importance on energy than strategy when making changes.

Bit obsessed with fresh legs.

Little worried about that tbh, " we always planned to make changes on 60"
But that's 2 games where we've made changes that have upset the flow, He's not going to come out and say my subs were wrong, but the game results are a prime example.

Of course it goes both ways, and our fresh legs are reasons why we've won other games.. but you just have to read the game.

well aware he's a paid manager and im just a fan watching it.

He's right in the respect that we had a couple of good opportunities in that spell and looked to be on top with Jackson and TJJ guilty of wasting chances to square the ball to a teammate. It was after that little spell that we didn't deal with Plymouth's pressure well at all, of which the slight change in shape and positions contributed.

TJJ's that got a deflection was incredibly unlucky as he whacked that and the leg took all the sting out of a likely goal. Was that not between subs?

It was, but i wouldn't say we had ascendency, we had a couple of chances before it'll went to pot and Plymouth realised they had gaps to play with

TJJ for Harness was ok, but not need to take Ladapo off.

Yeah agree - Harness needed to come off, on a yellow and had already made another lateish challenge which the ref warned him about, plus was struggling to get impact the game but Ladapo as well a mistake. If he was going to take him off he should have put Ahadme on so Jackson could stay where he was and we'd still have a target to aim for from long balls.

As I said, he's young and still learning. He is going to make mistakes and it's happened now two weeks on the trot that the subs have caused us to wobble.

I can think back to not so long ago that we were all berating the manager for not making subs etc.

One of our most controlled spells in the game I thought, with several opportunities to kill the game off.

Though maybe it wouldn't have been killed off at 2-0, considering last week.

Our attacking play wasn’t the issue. Poor defensive errors cost us both goals.

Don't think the changes ultimately served us well — but in fairness at the time of their equaliser we looked really comfortable.

I think their changes had a bigger impact than ours - Cosgrove coming on seemed to give them a bit more oomph up front - and that is when they started to get a bit more traction

Our attacking play wasn't clinical enough unfortunately, so there is an issue up front, defence wise, the midfield need to do more to help out the defence. Over critical, but that's the general gist of most of our games, against lesser teams our errors don't get punished.
