See below from our excellent local journalist… it is looking very positive indeed for a great season

Really like to stuff Lincoln, and win a Sky game under the lights with Derby.

I feel one of those two teams will ‘turn-up’… and I hope McKenna puts out our strongest team. Need Harness starting.

“It's often said that the best teams find a way to win when not at their best. Ipswich did just that here.

In the space of eight days the Blues have shown they can win different types of games.

Can they beat a promotion rival in a topsy-turvy match? Yes.

Can they be patient and break down a team that parks the bus? Yes.

Can they stand up to a physical challenge and come from behind? Yes.”

I know he's not a Town fan, but i want us to have an ounce of success purely so he has something exciting to report, he's been brilliant over the last 10 years reporting on us

He is excellent now.

When he first started 10 years ago, I wasn’t convinced, but he gets it right every week now.

Yeah, I want to ram rod Lincoln so bad. Lincoln in the FA Cup was the lowest part of our recent history, and I am stiill angry that a bunch of imps came on this website giving it large, when we were respectfully telling them before the game we wouldn't be shocked to lose.

If we go back up and they go down this season, it would be the perfect season for me.

Years ago when pubs had regulars and pool and darts was a popular weekly event I played both games in the local leagues. I was rubbish at both but would still give the good players a close game a few times throughout the season. Basically I would bring them down to my level. Good players hated playing players who only threw a dart or picked up a pool cue once a week. They had everything to lose and it affected their game. I wonder if the same mindset could affect footballers.

Him and Andy Warrens post match videos are superb, they just get it

It’s like they’ve been deep into my mind and have eloquently put together my own thoughts and opinions on a Town game.

Everton.

He may have started off as an Everton fan but it is clear from the KOA videos that he's fully behind the Town these days, and gets enjoyment when we win and heartache when we lose. It's a bit like many footballers who start off supporting one club but end up also supporting the club or clubs they have played for.

I didn't actually realise he wasn't a Town fan until I saw this thread. I think that's a mark of respect for the very good job he does. He and Andy Warren are both very thoughtful, honest and insightful reporters in my view.

I can't find the Bacon and Stu vlogs anymore from the distant past. They might have deleted those as they were a bit embarrassing. Watson had hair - a floppy style, I think - and a surly attitude to Mike Bacon's enthusiasm. Watson's come a long way since and has a great double act with Warren.
Not trying to be a d*ck - but I wish Ross would drop the "my friend" catchphrase. Its getting wearing.

Same for Brenner Wooley on Radio Suffolk. Started in the role towards the end of 2002-03 season and all he's had is 3 failed play-offs and a lot of mediocrity.

He’s great. I miss his matchday stuff on Twitter. I get why Archant want to keep those clicks and engagements “in house” on their own site but I still miss his tweets.

"My friend" does my head in. I have tuned into KOA (and Blue Monday) pretty religiously for a couple of years now, but I do find Ross and Mike Bacon quite hard to listen to these days for one reason or another.

Stu and Warren both very sensible, balanced & eloquent in their views though. After 10 years of largely miserable football you get the distinct impression they understand the trials of being a Town fan, where that maybe wasn't so apparent in the beginning.

Agree. Really enjoyed keeping an eye on the Twitter feed. Good interaction with fans too.

The EADT updates page isn't as organic. Not sure that's the right word but I know what I mean. I didn't go back to it after the first game.

I think the longer these fans of other clubs follow Town the more they become Town fans.
