I think he should be sacked for taking the job. Anyone dumb enough to agree to work for the person accountable for the latest mess should go.

Hunt should do the honourable thing and resign before Pointless.

They’re going through Chancellors quicker than Watford goes through Managers. 4th this year.

It’s like when an out-of-contract injury prone player signs for a desperate club trying to avoid relegation- one last paycheque, one last roll of the dice.

Bit like Collin Quainer in Jan 2019 then.

It's s shame because he is one of the better ones. I know that isn't saying much and by better, I mean less horrible rather than more competent, but still.

Truly impaired.

Wait a minute - I have a soft spot him after the Leeds game - I suspect Jeremy Hunt is unlikely to give us that moment of joy (unless he does something irreparable to the PM as part of his duties)…

If he takes the job for a week or two then resigns. Truss you would think wouldn't be able to continue. He could be looked at by tory MP's as the hero that got rid of Truss?

He's not one of 'the good ones'. Like David Cameron, his first boss, he's a smirking sociopath who preached preached patient safety as a gospel whilst enacting policy that was actively undermining it at every turn. He only looks 'good' compared to what followed.

We're still feeling the effects today.

I thought Hunt might be well-placed as a leadership candidate after the Tories go into opposition with a pitch focussed on moving away from culture wars and bad-mouthing the EU. However, his own majority is only 8,000 and it's in the kind of area the Lib Dems will probably win next time, so maybe he sees this as his last hurrah in politics.

In broadly the same fashion that Marcus Evans 'sorted out' ITFC?

I can't stand Hunt, I quite liked Kwasi but I genuinely think he is mentally ill.

This government reminds me ( for those old enough to remember) the blue MOT failure sheet for your car that had the last section entitled ' general vehicle condition'. If you had an old Ford car for example it usually needed loads of welding done which the examiner didn't have enough room to write on the sheet. However in the end you had to scrap the car as it was too expensive to repair.
