Johnson will be one of the last 2 if he stands. The membership will pick anyone over Rishi Sunak 'cos of his skin colour. Yes, that's right - I called out the 70 year olds as racist - go ahead, downvote me. The choice of Sunak and Truss and they chose Truss proves my point.
The Tories live in their own little bubble, completely detached from the rest of the country and they will re-install Johnson as PM. And he will start lying, breaking promises, doing U-turns and pursuing fantasy projects all over again 'cos no way has he changed in 7 weeks.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Let him come back, then we can see what the 60 ministers who resigned and the 100 backbenchers who submitted letters do.
There seem to be a lot of MPs who cannot stand what their party stands for and yet are happy to remain in the party. It makes me think they are far happier with it than they say they are.

They were, in the main, entirely happy with his open bigotry corruption, incompetence and criminality as recently as June.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Johnson like Trump is a cult, we know he's terrible but to a certain type of Tory and certain other voters think he's great
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
"In a lengthy series of tweets, the international trade minister, Greg Hands, who has backed Rishi Sunak, said of Boris Johnson’s potential leadership bid: “People forget quickly. I don’t.
“I was with Boris late on the evening of 6th July. He offered me Northern Ireland Secretary (a position not to be thrown around lightly), if I could just show the world he could indeed form a government.
“I think he would have offered me almost anything. I refused. Indeed, as we sat there, more resignations of junior ministers, whips and PPSs were coming in.
“I told him he had to resign, as he couldn’t form a government. Doubtless others said the same. The next morning, he duly did resign. “I have no reason to have any more confidence today that he could put together an effective government."
Aside from the incompetence, the lying, his laziness, Russian financial backing and other sundry dodgy failings the above is an example enough on its own how this puffed up buffoon is not fit to hold public office. Any public office, in fact.
We have seen this repeated with the witless Truss. Handing out important positions to supporters, clearly not up to the job. Pork barrel (no pun) politics at it's worse. What favours outside of politics does the bloater owe, for their financial support ?
Squalid and self serving, it gives an indication of the depths to which this odious gutbucket will sink, in order to advance his cause. Again brings into question why the bloater backed Putin's invasion of Crimea and his accepting money from a close associate of Putin. He even gave a former high ranking KGB officer's son a knighthood.
Still, as long as he can make numerous causal racist remarks he is the darling of the (far) right of the Tory Party

He doesn't have 100 backers, that was a briefing which hasn't been confirmed yet and it's difficult to see where he gets them from.
He ‘gets’ them in the press by lying about how many he’s got. This isn’t aimed at you, but there seems to be loads of people who’ve forgotten already what he was like. He lies about everything and corrupts everyone close to him by getting them to lie for him too.

Well that is a thoroughly depressing listen on all sorts of levels. The recent turn of 'cancelling' the use of the word 'globalist' is quite something and for the presenter to suggest that furlough "saved the economy" is another interesting take!! In many ways furlough was a perpetuation of class war all about preserving the spending power of the property owning middle and upper classes while essential workers continued to work for peanuts. None of which detracts from the caller being a complete arse.

The question is how much of his racist language is a lie, to pander to his racist party, and how much is actually the real him.
In fact who is the real him ?
The cretin who mocked wind farms, and now claims to be renewable energy greatest backer ?
The skunk who backed Russias invasion of Crimea in 2014, or the person who now claims undying support for Ukraine
The man who broke his marital vows on umpteen occasions, promised one women* that he would leave his wife, then when she was pregnant insisted on her having an abortion - he was not going to leave his wife.... for the time being.
When he did it was by text, when she was undergoing cancer treatment
"He won't lie to me, said fishermen, farmers, Unionists, small exporters...... He did, and will continue to do so until his dying breathe.
So who is to blame. An obvious liar, or those who swallow his lies. My thought is that it is the latter.
No one can stop him from lying, but you can stop being so stupid as to believe him.............or can you ?

I find it interesting that despite the numerous times I have raised this point about furlough none of the beneficiaries of it have disagreed. The money tree must have bought their silence.
