Maybe it's more the mix of the players that's the problem? Donacien, Woolfenden and Edmundson are just too weak in the air as a combination to be effective? We need at least one of Keogh or Burgess in there to give us some presence. | |

Er I don’t think so. They are fine. Our best pairing might just be Burgess and Woolfenden but it also might be that those in front of the defence need to cover better, hold the ball better, carry on pushing forwards for another goal. In other words continue to control the game. The policy of bringing another defender on to hold out doesn’t seem to work - it never does.
I didn’t see the game today hence the speculative tone of the above, but I do know we have the players. I don’t think they’re the problem. Work to be done. We are better than this. |  | | |

Less about quality as mentality. Up until recently, we had one of the best defensive records in the division. They need to focus on concentrating when scoring, throwing our bodies in front of shots and crosses into our box. | |

You may have missed it but we conceded 2 goals in 6 minutes with Keogh on the pitch yet only 2 goals in 90 minutes with Wolf and Edmundson yet you cite Keogh as a possible answer.
Totally knee-jerk given the facts of today and the season as a whole.

2nd place doesn't mean that everything is rosy. There have been some issues recently that is the defence keeps leaking goals. [Post edited 29 Oct 2022 21:14]
