Going well at the retirement home… 20:15 - Nov 13 with 4377 viewsSitfcB

Shame to see them not doing well, rock bottom and no hope it seems.

If they get relegated I don’t think we’ll see them in the football league for a long time. Really thought they were going to do well with the players they signed.

And some thought they were good enough to stay here and compete in League One. For all of Cook’s downfalls, having that clear-out was long overdue and we’re certainly now better off for it.

My favourite reply is the one clarifying that it was in fact a whopping 179 fans.

Other than that, pretty sad all around.

If Tchamadeu, who's the politest and most modest of players, was having a go back at the fans, it's pretty sure that they were being dicks. And also quite likely that Chambers and Judge were just sticking up for their young team-mate.

But it's certainly true that Chambers has a mistake in him every game.

Their fans won't as pathetic though as the entire SBR stand following the Birmingham game.

They won't be clapping off Skuse, Chambers, Judge, Sears for the disgustic manner of their relegation.

That was Cook's best ever thing he did for us. Shame that was the solitary one only.

Ultimately signing a load of players who have played together and been failing for a few years is never going to end well, even if it is a division down.

But according to the TWTD football experts back from summer 2021 Colchester had been getting the 'fAnTaStIc pRoFeSsIoNaLs' with whom they were going to have a good chance for promotion.

I bet there’s a few of our old guard frustrated and wondering where it all went wrong. The answer lies in the mirror.

The fact Chambers and Skuse were being touted as possible management material at Ipswich a few years ago shows how crap things really were. Would’ve been the final nail in the coffin.

Considering we are a league lower and have someone like Morsy playing for us and he is 10 times the player Skuse is in my opinion, says so much.

Skuse was ok, but how often did he ever influence games. It’s easy to see whey we played like we did for so long. We were crap with the ball.

Other than Murphy having a freak season and being very good at what he did and Mcgoldrick being a class player we were a piss poor team for so long. It was so hard watching that team season after season and as the legs on players like Skuse and Chmabers went it became more and painful. It’s criminal it went on slo long after than Play off season. Season ticket numbers compared with those seasons in the champ tells you absolutely everything.

Sounds like the new manager appointed externally is suffering from the same domineering over reach management by the Tony Humes and Steve Ball who both failed as managers in their own right.

From what I saw of the game looked a lot more promising though, actually had a few shots and the goal conceded was from an incredible cross whereas in most away games there is barely a shot on target

Are we reading the same thread? I don't see a single word about Skuse. He didn't play on Saturday, but anyway he's not exactly famous for spitting and snarling , is he?

I'm sure one of the replies on there said they do. Whoever it was said the surprised RE the 3rd player involved but not the other 2.

I would imagine Chambo gives most of it and Skuse just peers out from behind him and goes yeahhh in a sneering voice.

The third player mentioned was 'Junior', i.e. Tchamadeu, the nineteen-year-old full-back. As I wrote above, if the supporters were taking their frustration out on him (he can easily be the nearest, playing as wide as he does), I'm happy if Chambers and Judge stood up for him.

I guess you can imagine whatever you like.
