Leaves us very short at CB

Can we recall Baggott if Cheltenham agree? Just for bench cover and to rotate a bit if we kill games off?

Don't think it's Gillingham's choice to make given he's at Cheltenham ;)

But I think not sadly.

Edit: you changed it to Gillingham so now I look a plonker

Can't recall outside transfer windows and as he's played for two clubs already this season we wouldn't be able to play him.

Not ideal that Edmundson is out. TJJ coming back would have been more of a bonus that anything.

Can Harry Clarke play CB? We still have Keogh and Donacien as back ups but ideally Woolf and Burgess stay fit as they’ve developed a good partnership.

A real shame about TJJ in particular who sounded like he was nearing a return. Must be a pretty significant setback to rule him out for the rest of the season.

Hope both make good recoveries.

Real shame about TJJ - thought he'd be a secret weapon in a way for us as he would've given us another dimension in an already well-functioning attack. Not the first season that he's missed a decent chunk of time out injured so for him personally it's a sad situation as it could really hinder his career. Wonder if that changes any plans to sign him permanently.

Wouldn't feel comfortable about having Keogh in for the playoffs if it (us playing in them and Woolf/Burgess being unavailable) happened or having some makeshift pairing or back 3 so just have to hope the current two stay fit through to the end.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Disappointing, but not exactly "big blows".

Donacien and Keogh are adequate cover at CB, plus Clarke can play there.

Already have a plethora of No.10s, but agree that JJ would have given us another option.

Everyone has injury blows this time of year and in the grand scheme of things, it could have been a lot worse.

RIP Sir Bobby

Not really. Clarke, JD and RK plus Greg Leigh, not ideal but not really a massive issue.

As other have said, disappointing but i'd hardly say "big blows"

JJ has not played for months and we have plenty of options upfront.

Edmundson has dropped down the pecking order a bit, though is good for rotation if needed.
We've got 5 centre backs, 6 if you add Leigh(?) and can Ball play there? I wopuld say we have enough.

If we lose Broadhead the step down to Harness is noticeable JJ would have helped in that regard. It could be a big blow at the minute it's a blow.

Though to have expected TJJ to come in and perform straight away, above Harness or even at that level is a huge ask.

More likely we can use the likes of Aluko and Edwards, plus you have Cama coming back as well.

People rate Jackson
People rate Edwards
Could move Hirst wide and play Ladapo
COuld move chaplin wide and someone else in the "10" role.

Plus more options. We won't be struggling unless we get 3 or 4 injuries.

Still have that Adhadme too haven't we? haha

You can't play them all.

JJ had been coming back from a long lay off though just as Harness has. JJ's form/fitness may not have been great anyway in the same way Harness' form just hasn't hit the same levels as it was at before his injury.

Yep, I'd go for Dom Ball at CB over Donacien, keep JD as the right-sided cover IMO.

Basically, it's not ideal losing Eddy but it's not really that much of an issue.

Would imagine Dom Ball is seen as another solution at CB.

Not ideal, but with natural options of Woolfenden, Burgess, Clarke, Donacien and Keogh - and then more versatile options of Leigh & Ball we should be fine until the end of season now.

Think we have to be careful saying 'we have options so it doesn't matter', it's a bit like people saying we shouldn't postpone Barnsley because we have other players who could play - true enough but we shouldn't be arrogant to assume we can lose a key performer and the replacement will do just as well.

Edmundson dropping down the pecking order has been him being injured and TJJ is, imo anyway, a step up from the other options we have behind Chaplin and Broadhead. Starting to add in 'so and so *could* play there' isn't really evidence of strength in depth and no cause for concern for me.

The best thing that happens is everyone who's starting and playing well stays fit and healthy from here on out and we don't have to find out whether a back 2 of Keogh and JD is good enough to win a playoff competition.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Of course but a fit JJ is a better player than Harness imo.

Woolfy , Burgess, Keogh, with Ball, Leigh as possibles, should be enough...
We're more than OK in forward roles.

Lets put it this way, if Morsy and CHaplin were out for the rest of the season it would be a big blow.

This isn't.

JJ hasn't even played since October? It's not being arrogant, its true. We don't really need JJ and personally I don't think hes any better than the replacements we've got (personal view).

No way can we count Keogh, he’s way out of contention judging by his performances so far!
